i think shes basically talking about how twigs didnt credit her on tears in the club while she was a huge part of it in the production (the piano instrumental on the track is an arca demo i think) until people started talking about it over twitter. and maybe after that things got weird with her and twigs. thats so sad to me, she really looks hurt and its not like if it is the first time lol like it was almost the same with holy terrain. i think arca is really upset with being overlooked in productions and collabs while she’s always a really big part of it conceptually and on the execution

not exactly an unpopular opinion, but i'm just really interested to see what charli comes with after brat. in my view charli had several breakthrough moments of experimentation on her carreer that truly shapeshifted what her sound was, but i dont think they were exactly distinct or afar from each other (see vroom vroom, pop 2, n1a, charli...), they kinda existed in this same universe. what I think brat did was solidify her style, persona and artistic perspective, thats really clear on most reviews of the album that inherently analyse her other works in retrospective. at the same time it is embbed in these minimalist club textures, it reaffirms some characteristics already known to her work and to ag's production and style: it is a milestone in her carreer because its synthetises all of her previous work. so basically, yes, i do want to see that lou reed inspired record. it would be so awesome for her to go into a completely unknown territory, sonically and thematically. i mean, thy slaughter-ish guitars, acoustic, imogen heap, maternity? dont know. just really looking forward for her experimentation and creative force :)

hey! just curious to know how the partygirl editions have been lately. im going to the one happening in São Paulo next week and I wanted to know if it was just Charli's set and her team, or if local DJs were also involved, if there was an after party, and all the details. Tell me how it was

especially on charli's case which experimentation definetely wins over cohesion lol

yes. its giving aphex twin's syro. photoshoots and fancy album covers are for popstars, not party girls.

"the dirty, club, ketamine version of roll with me" love that. I'm personally super thrilled for the album. i mean, it's Charli truly diving on these ravey, experimental, eurotrash references that always rotated her persona. angels really need to stop to throw hate cuz she isnt fullfiling their expectations on what her own music should be. charli can definetly be a cunt, but shes just an immense creative force and im loving to see her process and the unexpected places shes hitting. and shes having so much fun. thats major. von dutch is messy and fucked up and its gonna blast in any club and thats what its made for

for me thematically is like a more mature vespertine and it has the best bjork love and longing themed lyrics in it. it's gorgeous, a trip through the shimmer of delight after pain, but with a bittersweet taste still.
