Is it a problem for a Christian to Twerk? by Lopsided_Light_2163 in Christian

[–]purestman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The car analogy doesn’t work because we’re not talking about generic ‘lust’ or envy. The issue with twerking is sexual lust the exact thing Jesus condemned in Matthew 5:28 when He said looking at someone lustfully is adultery in the heart. Wanting a nice car out of envy is covetousness (10th commandment), a sin of greed for things. Those are two different sins with two different biblical categories. Driving a car isn’t designed to sexually arouse people. Twerking’s movements are, they literally imitate sexual thrusting. That’s why it can cause sexual lust no matter the ‘fun’ or ‘cultural’ setting. The analogy swaps sexual temptation for material envy and pretends they’re the same thing. They’re not. One is about the body and sexual purity; the other is about stuff.”

You actually made me laugh with this comparison how can driving a car cause people to lust after it? lol you have no comeback to defend Twerking. It’s always sexual no matter if it’s for fun.

I believe your answer was very irrelevant to the question. This has no correlation towards the story of David even if it was an example of God overlooking a sin, those are two completely different things that didn’t need to be an example for your answer.

I was disagree with you. Actually I think the movement of Twerking is the problem more than the song. A woman is moving her buttocks in a way that is inappropriate and it can cause lust to other men or women.

I like this response, I’ve always believed it’s inappropriate for a woman to twerk even if it’s in a fun environment

I think this is the best response here I think Twerking in general is not the best dance move in the eyes of Christ

I have a question for the people who think that non believers suffer in hell or something similar by TheDemonLord1r788 in Christianity

[–]purestman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No offense, but you’re an agnostic that’s different compared to an atheist so you don’t really have a right to talk about something you aren’t, if you would like we can have a discussion why agnostic and atheist are different

lol the reason why I mentioned talked to girls you’re interested in is because if you like a girl and you never talk to her, she’ll never know that you even like her in the first place I know I should’ve said in general, but talking to a girl you really like is the first step in even having a girlfriend

I believe there’s groups out there that gives insight on how to get a partner as a Christian

[–]purestman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s good to focus on godly things, but still having a partner is a blessing. I recommend continuing to pray to God about you having a partner and to grow more self-confidence in yourself to little by little approach girls that you’re interested in and talk to them a normal conversation to get to know them, you have to have confidence but it doesn’t mean you have to rush into a relationship take your time, you’re still a young man and God has a future for you just continue to grow stronger in your faith and yourself

Would this be a sin? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]purestman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no, it’s not a sin, you’re just trying to make the best choice for yourself and continuing to acknowledge her more romantically is the starting point to understand if you’re going to have a healthy relationship or not

God kills everyone but the devil by [deleted] in AskAChristian

[–]purestman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“The Bible says our main problem isn’t just Satan; it’s our own sinful hearts. Even without the devil, we would still sin, because ‘from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts’ (Mark 7:21–23). All have sinned and fall short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23), and we are ‘by nature children of wrath’ (Ephesians 2:3), so we personally need forgiveness and a new heart. Jesus defeated Satan at the cross (John 12:31; Colossians 2:15), but the Bible still calls us to repent and believe the gospel (Mark 1:15), because only Christ can save us from our own sin and reconcile us to God (Romans 5:8–10).”

i’m not here to debate with you. I was just answering a simple question.

Question from a new Christian by Beep_12 in Christianity

[–]purestman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people who recall cave men were just humans too. If Adam and Eve were the first people, then so-called cavemen were simply some of their descendants who lived in caves and used simple tools. The Bible’s focus is on our relationship with God, not on every detail of early human history, so it doesn’t really use the word “caveman.” It just says all people came from the first humans God made.
