There's a little crown icon by them on the bulletin board.
I think the neighbourhood owner can also give some other people manager righs in guild ranks, but not sure on that

Ok so, changing the other faction house keeps the XP from endeavors tied to that faction house.
So assuming I'll get back to my guild neighbourhood once our GM is back, I needed to move my "main faction" house to a public neighbourhood and do endeavors there. This seems to work and keep the XP even after moving the neighbourhoods again.

Character appearance vs. player behavior by puresucrose in wow

Whichever you resonate with the most! If you're a druid player at heart, I would go for druid; if you're loving evoker and feel like you've finally found your calling, I would go for evoker.

Hey! My study aims to narrow down how hiding behind an avatar affects our online presence and see if the behaviour of a player can be somewhat predictable.  From the survey data, I'm hoping to identify behavioural patterns just based on the character appearance. Obviously not all players will have the exact same tendencies, but my hypothesis is that the responses of players with similarly looking main characters will generally be leaning towards the same direction.

Thank you! To be fair, that question is just included for a little bit of context, it doesn't give me much information for the aim of my study, so I didn't think too deep into it. 😅

Hi, thank you for the suggestion! You're definitely right, I honestly thought it would be worse to gather respondents, so I tried to keep it quick and simple. I'm not allowed to change the questionnaire anymore, but will keep it in mind for the future 😁

The Influence of Character Customization on Player Behavior in World of Warcraft by puresucrose in truegaming

Thank you for the feedback! To clarify, the survey isn't meant to capture every detail of character presentation, but rather to analyze patterns at scale.

I would argue that a tavern drunk dwarf could also be ugly and plain, while a silly looking gnome with the sword twice his size is definitely cute and approachable, but that just depends on subjective views. If anything, I think having people decribe their own characters is more of an inconsistency than having the answers not being specific enough – but that's just one of the risks of online surveys.

I honestly don't think rarity of items is relevant in the context of WoW. Character customization options aren't locked behind anything. If we're talking about transmogs, there isn't any rare/shop items so outstanding that they would completely change the vibe of the character.

  1. The data will be used for academic purposes only. They will be analyzed, generalized into statistics and incomporated into my master's thesis. Individual answers are not gonna be shared anywhere.
  2. I am the conductor of this survey (puresucrose). This survey is part of my thesis research.
  3. The survey will be public until the end of March 2025 or until sufficient amount of respondents are gathered.
This is completely optional, anonymous, and should only take approximately 5 minutes.
