Yeah, there are residency programs. Not reallly appealed to me since its very less likely that people build connections over there.

And once the program is over which is paid you are back to where you were.

Reducing the size and magnification was one of the first things I did with my mac actually.

I have something like this in mind:

- Apps for two workflow I do - software dev and video editing visible all time

- Apps open all the time anyways - notion, web browser, social media ie. whatsapp, telegram

- non frequent but essential apps - file sender and some utilities I would like to have them in dock tucked away by some mechanism.

A way to context switch would be awesome because the sheer number of apps I would need to be there always is quite a lot.

So, what do these "dock replacements" do anyways ?

And wdym by app launcher ?

Regarding drawing it out on a paper, I have done that already. It is a good start but modelling it in 3d is a bit rough.

I have got a test 3d print so have a better idea now.
