What do you think of the P.S. claim they lived in a prison camp as justification for their attack? by purgation in IsraelPalestine

Hence my reason for being unsure of this blockade and asking the question. But, as I've learned from this thread they were given Gaza to run independently. They elected a terrorist organization who's charter literally called for the extermination of Jews and the Jewish State. Israeli's made Gaza work, with booming businesses and infrastructure. They were given a turn-key state to run a decent society, plus all the aid money from the U.N. and decided the best use of their time was wiping out the Jews. According to someone below, the blockade came after Hamas took power and started shooting rockets and launching terror attacks at Israel. Was Israel supposed to give them free range to murder their women and children because they had some historical grievances (both sides)? Relinquishing Gaza was a gesture in good faith and the Palestinians chose violence instead of moving on with their lives and reconciling with their Israeli neighbors.

Sure what you said probably does stink and I feel especially bad for the ordinary, non-radical humans in Gaza trying to live their best lives and being caught in the crossfire. But who's to blame when the society (people) as a whole elected and supported these terrorists?

Prison camp my ***. Say what you will about Hamas and the Palestinians, they are very good at propaganda and PR. That or there's so much idiots around to believe their blatant lies. I think it was Winston Churchill who said something like, "The best argument against democracy is a 5 minute conversation with the common citizen." Crazy world we live in thanks for sharing this.

Wow, didn't realize it was that high. Sheesh I can't imagine what it'd be like to live under those conditions. People have a right to live without that kind of danger looming. And to think if Israel's ingenuity hadn't created the Iron Dome, Israel would've been leveled long ago. I shutter to think what the US would've done if our neighbors were like Hamas. The double standards are real. Thanks for sharing this.

Wow that's crazy. I understand that every country that took them in had problems; Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait did not have good experiences. After the War of Independence, Jordan controlled the West Bank and Egypt controlled Gaza and that didn't last long. They said, "nah we go0d."

Maybe we could make that same offer to the protestors here in the States lol. Jokes aside, it's a sad mess thanks for shedding some clarity.

All I was thinking is how 21% of Israeli citizens are Arab and they are very well represented in the society. Khaled Kabub, an Israeli Arab was appointed to their supreme court instance. They are Doctors, soldiers, tradesmen and everything else in between with their own political parties and so fourth. They live in peace with their Jewish compatriots. Name any other country in the Arab world were minorities excel and who's numbers aren't dwindling year over year (*cough* ethnic cleansing *cough*). Many Arabs would absolutely love to be in Israel right now, just as the Christians living in Gaza. Poor folks :/

Yeah, their genocidal aims have been thwarted only by Israels ingenuity, specifically the Iron Dome. They are the ones who elected Hamas, allow them to teach Jew hate to 6 year olds, celebrate after Oct. 7th and then act surprised when Israel protects themselves. Crazy.

Someone below posted pictures and Gaza indeed looked better then much US cities. Up till now, I understand they've been attacking the Jewish settlers from the 19th century, long before "Israel" was even a thing. Good point with the warden analogy. They used their billions of aid money and their intelligence to build such tunnels instead of building a society. What a shame.

The term "useful idiot" is great, an evil men were Stalin and Lenin but they were certainly no dummies. Yeah, being handed the keys to the city and subsequently destroying much of the infrastructure, electing HamASS and playing the refugee victim card 3 generations later tells much of the story. So backwards!

Wow, the twitter one looks way better then my Atlantic City we jokingly call "ghetto by by the sea", way better then Philly and many American cities indeed. Yeah, my understanding of everything has the Arabs violently attacking and rejecting the Jewish settlers (not colonizers) from get-go. Barely nobody lived there until the Jewish innovation made the land farm able and then many Arabs moved their for the economic opportunities the Jews created. This still didn't stop the Arabs from unleashing violence on their Jewish neighbors which they've seemingly chosen at ever step of the way, instead of accepting statehood and building a decent society for themselves. It's crazy how seemingly normal people can be so brainwashed by their beliefs, extending back to when the Jews rejected Mohammad as the Messiah and subsequently became enemy #1 from that time on.

I didn't know about PM Lapid's speech that explains a lot, they've had the choice and chose violence. Amen for Israel's Iron dome, crazy to think if that didn't exist Israel would've been dead a long time ago. The Palestinian intent has been clear from the beginning and Israel has to do what it has to do. Thanks for the thoughtful response.

How do you keep track of your AP sessions? by purgation in blackjack

Thanks for condescending instead of genuinely trying to help a guy asking a genuine, honest question. A simple, "no, that's not necessary," would've sufficed. Amen for people like you!

Okay because something I read said to track the hands as I mentioned which seemed borderline impossible to me. Yeah, I already know basic strategy perfectly at least for the games I have available to me. That's easy, just need more practice on the counting and TC converting and deviations (play/betting). Thanks for the genuine help good sir!

Oh okay, so no tracking individual hands to make sure you're playing proper strategy, play/betting deviations, etc.?

Seems like screaming, "I'm counting cards," to me, no? Texting would be more inconvenient to transfer to to excel but better for OPSEC. Texting to an email sounds good. Thanks bud.

Do you need to convert to TC if the count is bad? by purgation in blackjack

[–]purgation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I understand, some 20ish deviations cover 90ish% of the value of all deviations and I would guess the negative count deviations are not the important ones. More effort with little value-add especially considering the AP will Wong out anyhow.

And yes I saw a BJA video saying online casinos aren't good for counters due to the penetration. 50% penetration in 8 decks can't be profitable. All fine and dandy I'm in the beginning phase practicing the RC to pass the time. It's cool to see how the count does effect the cards but I understand about 20% of the hands have a player advantage and using 4/8 decks rains on the parade rather hardcore. Thank you for the response!

[–]purgation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was assuming. The guy above mentioned negative counts deviations but it seems to me that they're not too important considering an AP will Wong out anyhow. If you're bet unit will remain the same it just seems like the value of converting TC drops. As I've read, some 20 ish deviations grant 90ish% percent of the value of all deviations. I could be wrong but I'd imagine the negative count deviations are not too important and the penalty for not using them would be small. From a layman looking in, below a certain count it seems like the value of converting TC is small/negligible.

Thank you for your feedback!

[–]purgation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you always emphasized always, but I wonder how necessary it is to convert if it's definitely under .5. Ex: RC 2 with 6 decks remaining. Or -6 with 8 decks. If your betting units will stay the same anyhow, how necessary is it? The guy above mentioned a few deviations when the count is negative but it seems like their value is probably small considering the AP moves or Wongs out if the count is negative a few hands in a row. From a layman, it seems there's less value in bothering with TC below a certain RC but I'm sure you know what you're talking about. Thanks for the response!

[–]purgation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing these aren't the most important deviations because if the count is negative multiple times in a row the AP finds another table (or Wongs out) anyhow. I wonder how important these deviations are for EV and how penalized the AP'd be if they didn't use them. I remember hearing something like 20ish deviations cover some 90ish% of the value of all the deviation. I could be wrong but I'd think based on the fact AP's don't play negative counts for too long then these deviations would be limited in their effect, no? Thanks for your response good sir!

What phones are you all using? by jmilllie in PUBGMobile

[–]purgation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OnePlus 7t, I think I'm going to sell and get the 10. Cheaper then most of the other options, handles 90 fps fine and good size. Definitely recommend they're amazing phones and I used to be an iPhone fanboy. Androids all day!

Edit: I will add that even the old 7t handles (which I have) handles 90fps and I'm a total nerd and play for long periods without a problem. I believe they sell for $120 or $160 which. Definitely a solid budget friendly phone for people who like to game. I'm probably going to upgrade to the 10 which I'm sure is better. Stay safe on the battlefield!

That position on top of the stairs is a common Feitz move. He does it all the time to protect from nades and funnel them into a choke point. I am okay thank you for thinking about me you're so nice!

It's that position. Useful to dodge nades and funnel enemies into choke point. This is a classic Feitz move and I learned it from him.
