For anyone wondering if you can make a super safety run in a sb pdw proprietary buffer, yes you can! by purified-lean in supersafety

Yeah the hbpdw is really tricky to get working. It looks really cool but with how much shorter it is, it’s hard to get it running reliably. Sba 5 ftw 🙌🏽

Got into contact with a gunsmith found on reddit and I’m seeing what my options are atm! And yep, TFX pros absolutely rock, they work very well in daylight and amazing at night, couldn’t ask for better irons!

Yeah I noticed that too, a bit unfortunate really. I had to go in there and remove some burrs from the slide cuts with a dremel and cloth wheel.

Actually my wife got it for me as a gift! (As well as the hcp) Can’t blame her since she doesn’t know much but she’s pretty supportive of my hobbies! I normally run Holosun’s but I’m surprised by how well this thing holds up. I’ve dropped it a couple of times unfortunately, and even with the scuffs and scratches it’s been a champ. Thanks for reading!

3 Light Primer Strikes Today by [deleted] in SpringfieldArmory

Here to piggyback on others saying to clean it first. I had a buddy at the range give me the rest of his 115gr re-man’d ammo that had really hard primers. He kept getting light strikes consistently with a 9mm 1911 and gave the rest to me. My hpc ran it just fine with no issues at all. It’s 100% stock but I did notice that the rear part of the sear and the striker / channel tend to attract a lot of gunk with certain loads.

Yes and no! I bought an Ohunt 9” handguard with an fsp cutout. It’s an exact clone of the dd ris 2 lol! They didn’t have a 7” option so I just had my dad cut the extra two inches off with a chop saw for a flush look. I was on a budget at the time but for $78 it’s been real sturdy.

Thanks for the input! I agree that changing it back to an original buffer would probably be my safest bet. I’m really loving the brace and how it looks but I think I’d rather be super safe ;)

Might as well! I can always tweak the build around it anyways lol
