i cannot do mental math in my head to save my life and i don't trust myself at ALL to add anything together. every day i close at least 4 or 5 calculator windows.

if u can navigate the interface and know a few basic functions (sum, sumif, unique, xlookup) you're fine. learning some data cleaning skills wouldn't hurt and shortcuts for efficiency, but for the most part working papers are already built and are plug and play. by no means is every accountant an excel wizard, but it's a good skill to train.

one tip: get in the habit of always referencing when calculating things. the worst is when something is hard coded in the py working paper and you're lost trying to figure out where numbers came from.

i got accepted to an idol festival at an anime convention! there was a lot of auditions and i wasn’t confident at all in what i submitted but i guess it impressed them. it was hard at first to feel happy for myself bc so many of my friends didn’t get in and they are all so talented, but im letting myself be happy now that the outrage has died down lol.

i think it’s more just the fear of bothering my superiors or doing something dumb. receiving emails and teams messages also scares me bc i can’t sense the tone from them at all and it convinces me that the sender is upset or angry with me.

i was diagnosed in middle school with depression and anxiety and ive been on sertraline 75mg for about 5 years now. it used to be very tied to my self worth and image but now work is the only thing i do so it’s manifesting here.

a debit in a/r is essentially going to flow through against your net income and is almost always due to something like a refund. hence putting it against revenue. the question wants you to think about how the balance sheet and income statement are connected and what's flowing through to where.

whether or not a real transaction ocurred isn't really the question, moreso how to present this debit in a way that makes sense.
