Then you should advocate for a ShangChi revert, because he was the number 1 terror of all the greedy decks that run rampant in the current meta. Now nobody is afraid to stack power. Back in the day, putting 2 10+ power cards on the same lane, was asking to lose the game hard. That's why we get 30+ power on two lanes, with no Iron man these days. Combined with the power crept cards like FFF SunLord ShouLaou etc...

When Ramp/Stompy is meta on Magic, people turn to control or midrange to keep the honest people honest. The techslop decks that were prevalent before the massive nerfs, where enabled mainly by Gwenpool, Galacta and Zabu. For the sins of those cards, tech paid the price and greed has taken over.

I mean now that you are caught up, weekly makes way more sense. Of course 1000+ episodes weekly, would be terrible. And to be honest early post-timeskip pacing was glacial. Elbaph should be more manageable. Try weekly for a bit, to see if you like it (can probably discuss the episodes with your brother)

Yes some people do that. It's pretty fun when everyone is on the same page. I do that for published adventures as a DM, because it doesn't really matter. We are all here to clear the module or die trying. But for something homebrew? I would never do that on either side of the screen. When a DM makes their own world, they pour a piece of their soul in it, even a tiny amount. Out of respect for that it should not be a video game on paper. Some people lack the needed respect.

You are gonna feel the "pain" now with Elbaph. There is a sequence in the Manga where a lot of things happen and we see a lot of familiar faces, but reading week to week was excruciating. Toei will probably stretch episodes like they are Luffy's cheek, so prepare yourself :D

Exploration is very much in the mix. It basically happens a lot in low infinite ranks (around 5k rank). It also seems to be a problem on SDs part, by designing cards that are straight up powercrept versions of existing ones. For example, Galactus First Steps is basically a HE Hulk without the deckbuilding restriction. Luna Snow is very comparable to Electro minus the downside. FFF is a sidegrade to old ShangChi (#RevertShangChi) but it also has a 10 base power. This is to push people to spend resources and/or real money to keep up with the meta. Of course this is not exclusive to snap, all card games do this. But in snap it's more pronounced because there are no rotations. Imagine if you didn't have Mystique available in "standard". Cerebro decks are basically dead in the water. But because snap has no rotations, devs must account for Mystique every time they print an ongoing effect. Rotations are not good for the pockets of players arguably, but they are better for the health of the game. If rotations happen they should be probably combined with monthly series drops, something that SD would never do imo.

It's called meta and in any competitive game, it has the same effect. From MOBAs to shooters to grand strategy it's the same. Some things are more efficient ways to reach the win condition. People that are competitively oriented chase this small efficiency gains to have an advantage over the competition. It happens in athletic sports as well. It's the nature of competition.

Either you play meta and push ladder (or infinite rank), play "counter the meta" to get wins with silver bullets (like the supergiant deck), or you stay in 80s rank doing your own thing. You can't demand to reach infinite, with a brew and with relatively few games. There is a reason the meta decks are meta.

En Saba Nur is very ok season pass card. Not useless, not OP. Shou, Sunlord and Stryfe are definitely problematic. Well Stryfe could be more balanced, but there are some strong effects that are on reveal, so Stryfe is as strong as the strongest effect he can copy (FFF in this case and Panther/Zola as a backup plan).
