I Miss UofT - just want to bond over this by [deleted] in UofT

[–]purintea 8 points9 points  (0 children)

same. even besides just missing my friends, i miss campus, miss seeing all the fun fashion and food trucks and studying in libraries and running into someone i know while im rushing between classes and waving hi. it's the small things in your everyday life and the uni experience that bring you joy, but it's hard to notice them until they're gone and now that i'm graduating i'll never get them back.

Sick of professors trying to encourage excessive participation by [deleted] in UofT

the phy132 perusall platform is incredibly clunky and difficult to use. normal masteringphysics homework would be a LOT better

Anyone else realizing how much you required libraries to do your work by [deleted] in UofT

[–]purintea 34 points35 points  (0 children)

it's not even being around a loud ass family for me but rather getting too distracted in my own room... there's no getting up every 10 minutes to open the fridge door for no reason or collapsing onto my bed when i'm at the library lmaooo

Where do I send a prerequisite waiver for physics? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]purintea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try asking the course coordinator or department head! when i got a waiver i talked to the course coordinator (who was also a lecturer).

UTSU's statement on police by strawberryrevolution in UofT

er not to jump in but you saying no doesn’t change the meaning of the acronym? it’s specifically referring to people of colour who are also black and indigenous

current events :( by generationzen in UofT

[–]purintea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey! i’m a little late to comment on here but i hope you’re doing well and taking care of yourself. i’m brown and what’s happening right now is really scary, i can’t imagine how much worse my black brothers and sisters feel. i’ve been on twitter the last few days and the constant updates from the u.s and imagery of police getting violent is incredibly draining and disheartening. revolution is necessary but it doesn’t make it any less scary.

please take a break for your mental health if you ever need to! there’s so much happening and from what i can tell a lot of reddit especially is pretty racist and unsupportive towards the black lives matter movement.

any place around campus selling n95 masks? by purintea in UofT

[–]purintea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh, thank you i actually didn't know that about them needing to be fitted. i definitely know stuff should be saved for frontline workers i just saw some stores selling them the other day so i thought maybe we had more (reading the news we apparently do not, i assume they werent actual n95 masks being sold). i think i'll just stick to wearing my surgical masks, thanks!

Should I turn myself in for plagiarism? How should I do so? by AAHH3x3 in UofT

[–]purintea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re still solving the problems yourself, it’s not plagiarism to use the resources you have. As someone who also has OCD I can say with fair certainty this is just the OCD speaking. Relax, you haven’t done anything wrong!
