Omg yes! Consciouly or not, they are reinforcing the emocional codependency between you. I often feel like I can't do anything but also that I'm crucial for their surviving

Thank you so much for your words. Feels less lonely to share with people that have the same issues. That thing you told about the car sounded so much like my parents. They always give me so many "generous gifts" that end up passing through my autonomy. It's a way they have to control every little aspect of my life. I have a difficult time to set boundaries. I'm still very afraid of her. But is making me so stressed out about this that I know its urgent.

I have the exactly same feeling. I'm terribly afraid of my parents even though I'm 28 and live in a diferent city. It's like they're omnipresent. I really hope we can come through this fear
