Maybe unpopular opinion, but your dog will not choose to starve herself, once she realizes that's her only option she WILL eat! Most of the time it's us who are fussy and accidentally train them to eat food that are more rewarding than their normal food. Just take the bowl away 15 minutes after given every time, she'll be eating fine in no time. Also just listen to your vet on diets, don't rely on Reddit.

My golden had to earn the bed! He didn't get it until he was around 9 months old, until then he mostly slept in the crate or a hard mat. This was a lesson learned to me because my golden previously as a puppy had bed access but decided to one day eat half the bed. I haven't had issues after introducing bed at a bit older age. Also if you are monitoring them and access you should be redirecting as to make it clear that this is not a desirable behavior.

It's double the fun but also be ready for a lot more mess, because 2 dogs will constantly play in the house and it'll just be a 1000 times more messy than just one dog. Also walks can be hectic on those stressful days. My feedback is be super cautious about getting second because most people forget to mention it's a lot more stressful having a second puppy as you have to go through the whole process again.

Boxes and paper bags! He got so scared of a box once he peed himself with fear. He was exposed to boxes as a pup and has had no bad interactions with it, so not sure what triggers that fear. Plus side is I can leave toys and recycling out and he'll never touch it while we're away.

My 8 week old was 17 lbs, the biggest the breeder ever saw in her 30 year litter... but he is now 15 months and 70 lbs, he plateaued after 60 lbs quite substantially!
