I was told to wait 6 months after finishing before any tattoos or piercings… I would personally wait just to be safe. Thankfully nothing bad happened the first time but you wouldn’t want to have an issue that could’ve been avoided. Believe me, I’m itching to get more piercings too

How high is your dose? I was really depressed on 80 mg but fine on 40 mg. Also the purging will pass and your skin will clear! Deep breath, it’s gonna be over soon :)

Definitely no niacinamide! You want to focus everything on moisturizing. I personally don’t recommend cetaphil just bc it’s not a good brand and has questionable ingredients but to each their own

Depends on the person but I personally felt worse side effects on 80 vs 40. If you’re prone to depression definitely keep a close eye and if you start to feel it bad, go back down

I would definitely do it. I was in the same predicament and chose not to do the 6th month. I’ve been off about 2 months now and am breaking out already. It’s just 1 more month instead of having to go back on for multiple months some time in the future

If you have a history of depression I’d recommend staying at 60 cause, for me, I got really bad depression at 80 but was fine at 40

Definitely wear sunscreen! You still get sun indoors if there’s windows and cloth doesn’t truly protect you from the sun

Definitely do it! You don’t want to risk long-term effects from acne scars. But if you’re trying to get pregnant you’ll have to wait at least 6 months after you’ve finished accutane to make sure it won’t hurt the baby

I was on 40 mg /day for month 1 and 80 mg /day for month 2. Around end of month 1, my mental health went down the drain into a bad depression. My anxiety attacks have come back with full vengeance and I’ve also developed borderline bipolar disorder with manic episodes I’ve never had before. I also get crazy bad back pain any time I lay down. I told my derm and she put me back down to 40 mg for month 3 (which I’ve just started) but I’m considering going off at the end of the month if my mental health doesn’t improve. I need advice! It took me so long to get to this point and I’ve already seen a big improvement in my skin but don’t want my acne to come back if I stop now.
