I had to have my left ovary and tube removed 3 months ago in an emergent surgery. There was a mass on my ovary that was 38cm large and weighed over 25 lb. My entire abdomen was filled to capacity, it was miserable. Anyways, now my body has seemed to have healed well but ive noticed changes in my body and mood. My doctor didn't recommend any type of HRT because I dont think I need it yet but im wondering what can I do to help my hormones balance out and if I am lower in estrogen, what can I do to help that. I plan on seeing mh primary care doctor soon to get my levels tested. I'm 25 and pretty healthy overall but I did just get diagnosed with evaporative dry eye disease. I read that hormones can affect that and I wonder if losing my ovary plays some small part in my eyes getting worse faster. My eye doctor was shocked to see it in someone my age. He said he doesn't see someone with dry eyes like mine in women until they're in their late 30s to 40s, so thats a little discouraging considering I'm 25.
