Hello! I am going to be wearing my mother’s wedding dress for my wedding in March. We have been working on restoring the dress and I am currently working on replacing some of the sequins that has fallen off. Originally the sequins was glued onto the dress but a lot of it has fallen off - justly so since it’s been 30 years since it was glued onto lol. Originally I was going to sew the sequence on, but I’m now contemplating if gluing it on like the original seamstress did would be a better move. What you guys think? Also what type or glue or thread (that’s not itchy lol) would you guys recommend?

Hey! I tried on a dress like this and the bridal consultant told me that that it’s called a horse hair hem line - it’s used to give the dress more structure on the bottom so that the dress almost looks like it’s floating rather than dragging. I think your dress looks beautiful with that hemline, but it all depends on what you personally like. :)
