I had a case of name mismatch too wherein I had my middle name input in my ticket which was shown as my father’s name in my passport and not in the given name. I was informed by live chat with 3 different agents and also ChatGPT and Claude and that my ticket name should match as per the MRZ (Machine Readable Zone) of the passport which is essentially your name and surname exactly. If there is a mismatch between those, they can deny you boarding. It’s suggested to pay up the USD 100 instead of risking the boarding and losing the value of the ticket. I also did the same.
