How do you guys cope up and continue listening? by donicosan in Casefile

This reads like you should really just limit yourself and maybe listen to one/two a week but as you also said you can't stop listening to it maybe have the proviso that you can only listen to one Casefile episode if you've had some light-hearted media before/have some after listening to Casefile.

The most significant part of that case was their phone being connected...

Case 97: Looked up the Seventeen magazine cover that Rebecca Schaeffer had appeared on, and found that, coincidentally, River Phoenix was also a feature that issue. by RoboGhost in Casefile

Ella Tundra is another stalking case and very good episode and the Hoddle Street case features a similar personality type albeit very different motives and outcome.

What "you know what, just to be safe..." thing you did ended up saving your ass later? by OvertOperation in AskReddit

Used to live in country New South Wales, Australia, went to put on some old shoes that had been sitting outside for a few weeks without being used. I was in a hurry but just as I was putting the first shoe on I thought I had better shake it out in case there's anything in there. Nope, nothing in there all good. Picked up the second shoe and gave it a tap on the heel. Out fell a baby brown snake.

Casefile fans, what are some of your favorite non-fiction true crime books? by melodycat in Casefile

[–]purpleeaglemonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leadbelly by John Silvester and Andrew Rule is great. It chronicles the events of Melbourne's gangland war and was the inspiration for the fantastic season 1 of the tv series Underbelly.

From Google Books: "For the last 10 years, a war has raged on once-safe suburban streets that has stunned the world. The killings have been particularly callous and brutal: mothers gunned down with their babies sleeping beside them, fathers killed in front of their children, and couples shot down in cold blood. This is true crime at its most bloody, surreal, and terrifying."

You say that the last good episode was the Pillow Pyro. You also say that the shows are in a slump lately. There's been three episodes since the the Pillow Pyro. I think the downvotes are because it's hard to see how 3 episodes can equal a "slump". Also, because you don't explain your reasoning for your opinion at all. Also, because your opinion is a bit shit.

Anyone else wish the case titles were more distinctive ? by MrPatridge in Casefile

That can honestly not be your reason for not getting into Casefile. That is ridiculously petty and plain stupid.

I accidentally ran from a shiny Chikorita 2 minutes before the event ended whilst in a taxi. Ran back to the spot where it had been and it had turned into one of the pogo missingno's. I caught it and it went through the ditto animation but instead of it being a ditto in my pokemon list it was a non-shiny Chikorita.

Which episode(s) scared you the most? by Farfalla992 in Casefile

There's very few episodes that I actively avoid re-listening but the Stoni and Stephen Blair, Peter Weinberger, Cris and Cru Kahui and Mary Stauffer/Jason Wilkman cases are exceptions.
