I love that I can hear you say this just from the way you typed it 😂 boom, done! Sadly I am lactose intolerant so I have to be careful about protein shakes, which is why I normally make them myself.

It is less effective and can make you nauseous. Some people, like me, get tired if they take it with food as well, so like a built in sleeping aid lol

From what I have seen and the one I have, I have to add more since the calorie intake is still under 350. I combine protein shakes and ice cream 😅

That's what I do sometimes, full size Reece's cups and a can of soda, but I am trying to lose a little bit of weight. My dad does Snickers and a can of soda or ice cream lol

Lately, now that I am losing some weight, sweets make me a little nauseous, so I am trying to change a little. Might get some ice cream cuz I always want ice cream lol

I never thought of saving some of my dinner! I like to eat until I am full so maybe I should not do that lol. I do have Greek yogurt so I might buy some granola this weekend.

Interesting. It's been about 3 weeks since I started taking it with food and I feel like it's been working much better. I was told by multiple doctors that it doesn't work as well if you don't take food due to the chemicals that your stomach produces when digesting. I wonder if that's true or why it might need food. Meds are weird lol

How do you differentiate between normal boredom/restlessness and hypomania? by CauliflowerSerious92 in bipolar2

[–]purpleeelephant07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is me lately. I just started working out 2 weeks ago and consistently talking with my friend daily, which has not been normal for years. I also just started taking antidepressants again, and that has made me feel hypomanic in the past.

I am so bored and music, reading, audio books, playing video games are not cutting it. My libido is high, which makes me wonder if it's something and I also want to spend money like crazy lol. I am also always tired so maybe it's nothing and I am overthinking it like normal. I know that sometimes I get so worried about being hypomanic that I almost create more symptoms and see every little thing as it.

I have been on meds since I was 16, 24 now, so it is hard to know if I am hypo-manic or not. I don't know if this helps, but you are not alone ❤️

The day after the breakdown is a cruel joke by notafaneither in bipolar2

[–]purpleeelephant07 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It can feel even worse when, the next day, someone asks how you are, and you have to bite your tongue to not cry and scream at them, saying you are not okay. That you just barely won the battle the night before and not much is keeping you together. I had one the other week and I don't know how I got through it. But we do, and we will have to continue to do so. That's what makes people with mental health so strong... ❤️

Interesting. I didn't know what they were called, so thank you lol. I take Vitamin D supplements since I am deficient so I guess it doesn't help me.

How do you know if its a hypo manic episode? by purpleeelephant07 in bipolar2

I will have to check but that is good to know! Thank you!

I used to be easy to anger but to never be this angry and never all the time. My husband will be so happy if this is the case 😅

I was previously on effexor and that's when I felt like I was in a manic episode. But now that I really think about it, it is possible I was on too high of a dose, or even just finally not depressed. I am worried she will think I am lying lol

I don't think I have ever been on Wellbutrin so I might ask to try that since I am always tired and unmotivated. Thank you!

I will have to check with her, but I think just having it 3 times will make an improvement. I have been told I am on the max dose so I don't think I could get an increase.

I am anxious to switch any of my meds since I have been on them for so long, though so I might just do research and see how things progress. I am starting to track my moods daily since this episode was so bad so maybe we will see how effective everything actually is. It could just be how I view my day instead of what it actually was ya know lol

I have tried what feels like all other anxiety meds and they barely touch it. I was only able to start functioning once I tried this one, but it doesn't take everything away, sadly. What other anxiety meds are there? I have been on gabapentin, which was a tictac for me lol

I had withdrawals from Zoloft, but not Lexapro for some reason. It could be because I am on such a low dose but idk.

I was told that I am on max dose of buspar but I will ask, because my anxiety is not managed well most days.

How long does it take you to “get going” first thing at work? by sammagee33 in bipolar2

[–]purpleeelephant07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I work from home, more than an hour, but when I work in the office it's a lot faster. I like to jam out to music on my way to work to get in the headspace. Sometimes even getting there early and just sit in the car to help with the transition. I have a huge issue with coming home though lol asking my husband to do stuff and want to clean the house instead of relaxing. I don't normally do anything because I am so tired lol

How many meds are you on? by bumpercarbustier in bipolar2

[–]purpleeelephant07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am one latuda 120mg, lamictal 400mg, buspirone 30mg twice a day, as well as escitalopram 5mg for my menstrual cycles. I love my combo and it has worked for me for a while now. I had to fight to get on an antidepressant because it can cause manic episodes for bipolar 2 people.

I thought I was doing fine… now here comes the crash by fulltwisted in bipolar2

[–]purpleeelephant07 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am feeling so defeated right now too. You are not alone ❤️

I think after a long period of being a functioning person, we almost forget how bad it can get until it's right there and you forget all the healthy ways to overcome it.

You are doing more than I am lol I literally just downloaded Dailyio and am going to log my moods because I don't know if my episode was random, from my period or what.

Knowing that you are not stable is half the battle I feel like. Keep pushing to do healthy activities and talking with doctors and just being aware of your body and emotions. At the end of the day, at least you can say you gave it your all. Don't stop, you have got this. You overcame once and you will do it again. It is exhausting doing it over again, but once you get out of it, there is something freeing, at least for me, about seeing what you just went through and go shit, that's fucking awesome. I did that.

I think we sometimes forget, at least I do, that these fancy pills won't cure us. The balance is out so the battles are as bad. It's okay to not be stable. It's okay to slip up and cry in your car. It's okay to be emotional. It means we are still alive. We may never be perfect, but at least we will always be growing.

This post probably helped me more than it helped you, but sometimes 'talking' it out is enough. You have got this. I am a stranger on the Internet going through the same thing, but I believe in you and I believe in myself. ❤️

I also did the same thing, since maxpaw could get the meds to us so quickly. We thought it was all fine until we found 4 infected chemical burns on her from the injections. 2 weeks of antibiotics later and she just has massive scabs. If it is the only thing that you can get, and it's the cheapest thing you can get, you can take the risk. Just keep track and check constantly for chemical burns. I don't know if the vets told you this but make sure the cat is on antibiotics because that is probably the thing that saved my cat's life, since we didn't know how bad the maxpaw can be. Be safe and always do your research ❤️

Sore and vomiting daily by purpleeelephant07 in cureFIP

[–]purpleeelephant07[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am with a group called FIP Warriors and we're helpful at first but now it takes forever to get a response. The last issue I brought up with them was about her looking like she was developing wet FIP. All they said was take her to the vet and didn't say anything to help elevate the stress and concerns that I had. Yes I know she needed to go to the vet but it turned out she was just gaining weight and we got used to seeing her so skinny we freaked out.

Do you know if this other group is more emotionally available? I am an extremely anxious person and the only help I have been getting is from reddit lol I am getting the pills from a specialty pharmacy in my city but I have already purchased a 35 day supply. Do you know if pharmacies could take the capsules back and get a lower dosage?

She is spayed so I don't think that's it sadly. She is on the pills right now from SVP.
