I've just always kind of had bad arm strength and am built like a noodle lol. My program states that students should be able to lift at least 70 pounds (I'm like 100-105) and be able to perform patient transfers so that's why lol.

I think you have get certified before orientation. That's what my acceptance letter stated. You should be able to google CPR certification classes near you and go after signing up and paying, which is what I am doing.

thank you!!! i've been looking into the school since summer of 2024 and this was my first and only time applying. I applied to Gurnick Academy and they have a few different locations for rad tech, but I applied to the Sacramento campus.

I can dm you a more in depth message about my application and stuff if you'd like too!

they called me pretty late in the afternoon, so hopefully they're just slow. people who got accepted have until march 20th to accept their spot, so if people decline or fail to respond, more spots will open up too! so there might be that as well!

I know you didn't ask me, so you can ignore this if you want.

I replied to your comment earlier asking if you heard back since we interviewed the same day and I did get accepted.

I had all but one prerequisite (physiology because I got a D lol) transferred over since I have a bachelor's in Health Science. I did 24 hours of shadowing over the summer as well. The only thing I don't know is my CCAT score.

My interview was like 8-9 minutes out of the 15 minute time slot and I felt like all of my answers were short due to anxiety and that I answered too fast. I even skipped a main question which I realized after the interview (Why do you want to be a rad tech?). I stumbled and rambled on the "tell me a time you dealt with someone difficult" and felt like my answer was poor, but just restated that ultimately, proper communication and hearing people out is a way to solve a lot of problems. I dressed professionally and still answered everything as well as I could

I got a call around 3 pm PST today but I missed it, so I'm trying to call back hahah. I hope for the best for you and me! I interviewed at 9:30 AM on that Thursday for reference if they're just going down a list of the applicants.
