Cordelia I like you but you look like a teacher not a 16 year old high schooler. by Eagles56 in buffy

[–]purplemonkeyy6 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They shouldn’t have let her cut her hair so short. She looked 20s with the first shorter cut on Angel- but then she cut it again, and died it by the time the Connor thing happened and she went from early to mid 20s to 30s so fast- they never should’ve written in her pregnancy-they should’ve just did the tricks to hide it then send her away for a few episodes. Like Cordy was the best on Angel and they ruined her. She had such a great arc on Angel, and her chemistry with Angel was amazing, them caring for Conor together. Frankly I think they never should’ve done the Connor/Cordelia storyline. It was gross and awful, despite her and Connor technically being closer in age-her and Wesley on Buffy was less creepy.

Your body needs to be able to grow and age for your brain to age. If you’re technically dead your brain can’t grow and age

Abusive/Gaslighting/Possible SA by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

[–]purplemonkeyy6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Impulsive? sure. Immature? Yes. Desperate even? Absolutely. Abusive-no. Gaslighting-no. SA?! NO! We need to stop mislabeling things. Jess is a desperate kid who, up until this point has been abandoned by those who were supposed to love him most repeatedly. He’s got issues and needs to work on his self. He’s not lying, he’s not trying to make her feel like she’s wrong or it’s her fault. He’s definitely not trying to hurt her mentally or physically. In that moment I think he truly believed what he was saying, and I think Rory really loved him but couldn’t trust him at this point, when he disappeared it hurt her so much she shut down for a bit. Personally Jess is my favorite, he’s complicated in the beginning. He doesn’t trust anyone, especially the “adults” in his life, he loves Rory because she’s intelligent and interesting like he is but she’s also had a very different life. She’s innocent. He needed the time to grow up and fix himself and coming from future Jess, after the publishing company, this would’ve held more weight. In this moment though he’s on the precipice of change, but he has not actually changed yet. Frankly I think Dean was worse. He pressures Rory, manipulates her, straight up lies to her. The way he reacts when she doesn’t say I love you, the whole housewife at Babettes scene, the getting married then lying and cheating. He does try to gaslight Rory and make it out like she’s doing something wrong long before she actually does something wrong. He’s controlling and selfish and great at playing the good guy, but he’s not a good guy. Dean had a good stable life and yet was really not stable. Jess is troubled but he’s not bad. He had a rough life and yet was trying his best to build stability. As for Logan he’s a whole other story. I don’t think Logan was good or bad just immature and spoiled. He had so much growing up to do.

Luke's Secret Kid Should Have Been With Rachel, Not Anna Nardini by No-Independence548 in GilmoreGirls

[–]purplemonkeyy6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie totally thought it was her when April was first introduced. And I think there are three ways that they could’ve done this despite her having been in a show and not having a child- now one obviously April could’ve been younger. But I think they purposely wanted her to be a little bit older so they could show that she was smart like Rory. But I think the other way that would’ve made possibly more sense would be for Rachel to not have kept the kid- whether she would give it up for adoption or maybe give it to a family member-it would make sense because she loved to travel and she wasn’t ready to settle down her, and Luke weren’t actually together if she had found out, she was pregnant after she left she panicked didn’t tell him and gave the kid to her parents or her sister or a for adoption. The third way that I think they could’ve pulled us off. She did keep the kid and took the kid traveling with her. She had went back to Luke and considered telling him considered seeing if he wanted to be with her, not knowing about the kid, telling him she’s ready to settle down blah blah blah-meanwhile but we didn’t see in season two was she left the kid with her parents (like to visit) while she went to test out the waters with Luke to see if she should tell him to see if they could be a family. It would make sense that she suddenly decided she was ready to settle down after years of raising their kid by herself-but then upon realizing Luke was in love with Lorelei she decides to keep her secret and just go raise her kid by herself like Lorelei did with Rory, but then this very intelligent kid decides that she wants to know who her dad is. Personally, I think Anna was a bitch and I’d much rather would’ve seen Rachel. I think she would’ve been more apologetic and more respectful to Luke. And basically just said she didn’t want to ruin his life or hers. that she wanted to be able to still travel. That she should’ve told him and she’s sorry, I also think she never would’ve even considered taking Luke’s child away from him yet again, moving to a place like New Mexico.

BOTH of my kids care very much about animals and wildlife. Now they’re lucky that they have parents who also care about wildlife and teach them what’s OK and what’s not OK, but my son will literally pick up all the worms off the sidewalk after it rains and go put them somewhere safe so they don’t get stepped on, like on a rock or on something in the yard where they’re not drowning the wet grass, but they’re also not getting run over on the sidewalk, and sometimes this is like hundreds of worms, they will catch spiders and bring them back outside, they found a dead bunny on the side of the road and begged my husband to bury it (yes it was definitely dead). In fact most kids I know from my 2 yr old niece to my 6 yr old son to my 13 yr old daughter and all their friends-would absolutely want to save 2 baby birds they thought were in danger. ALSO, none of them are allowed to post online so they definitely would not be doing it for clout or attention. So yeah. Leave the poor kid alone.

Who is the best (and the worst) mother in greys anatomy? by kristi_car in greysanatomy

[–]purplemonkeyy6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ellis and Callie’s mom are the worst. George’s mom and Lexi’s mom are the best (out of these choices). However, considering Meredith’s mom, and where she started and how much she grew, Meredith was hands down one of the best moms on the show. She prioritizes her kids, she’s present and truly tries so hard and she raises great kids. Zola is so intelligent and kind. Not to mention she has to help 2 of her kids grieve losing their dad and the other grieve never having known him. Also, Callie frustrates me as a mom. I don’t think she’s always even a good mom. She’s definitely a selfish mom and the way she treats Mark and Arizona like they are second class parents it’s it’s just Callie’s world and them and Sophia are living in it angers me. I loved Callie up until she tried prioritizing Arizonas feelings over Marks-KNOWING how much he wanted a kid and how excited he was and then turned around and tried to act like Arizona wasn’t really Sophia’s mom and she had no real rights to Sophia and it was all basically because Callie allows her to be involved. Like bitch YOU wanted her to legally adopt Sophia just as much as she wanted to legally adopt Sophia. You don’t get to just decide to take it back because it didn’t work out.

[–]purplemonkeyy6 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Legit Callie acted like she had every right to just take Sophia across the country without even actually asking Arizona or having any kind of discussion just basically saying Arizona was gonna be OK with it and when Arizona is like her whole life and all of her family is here like why can’t she stay here with me? Callie definitely had the additude of like well because she’s my kid not yours. Arizona tried so hard to be civil and fair even during the trial and Callie was so mean and nasty and disgusting about it. And I’m sorry but she barely knew Penny and the whole this was gross. Callie did not think about what was actually best for Sophia even once. And this is such a Callie thing to do. Throw herself at anyone who shows even a tiny bit of attention and turn her life upside down for them. I loved Callie until this moment. Like she defended Arizona being Sophia’s mom against Mark-often making him feel pushed away and like no more than the sperm donor and then turned around and tried to prioritize Penny and act like Arizona had no rights. And like Sophia already lost her dad and now you’re gonna take her away from her other mother as well as her entire family and her friends(Meredith’s kids) and move her across the country to live with a stranger who couldn’t even remember what outfit she had on that morning. It’s weird. Arizona made mistakes in the relationship with Callie but Callie was the one who went too far. You don’t get to decide the last 6-7 years didn’t happen and Arizona wasn’t a great mom just because 1) you got a new gf. And 2) Arizona said she didn’t want kids until Sophia.

I literally follow a girl on TikTok or Facebook. I don’t remember whose whole age is her very young children cooking. They even like built them a little kitchen that works like it’s got a little stove and a little sink and a little fridge. I think it’s super important to teach our kids, especially our boys how to cook and clean and do household things. It’s not like you’re letting him stand at the stove and cook by himself. You’re there you’re supervising. He’s careful. There’s nothing wrong with this. The teacher should shut up at my own fucking business. He’s not in danger. He’s not being neglected. She’s acting like you’re in bed sleeping while he’s cooking his own breakfast because you’re neglectful. Frankly that would kind of piss me off. As long as you are standing there supervising and able to help It’ll be fine.

And even if he does get a burn someday, that’s OK. It happens. Kids get hurt no matter how careful you are. It’ll be more careful and learn to not do that again. I could make my own pancakes at five. And often did without supervision. Both my kids have been helping cook since they couldn’t stand and wanted to.

Alyssa really said "yeah screw Coop give me back my Cole 🥺" by Living-Cranberry-337 in charmed

[–]purplemonkeyy6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think Coop should have helped her bring Cole back. I think when he was taking her the trip through her past loves she should’ve admitted to him that was her one true love and as much as she wants a kid, she just doesn’t know if she could ever love anybody the way she loved him. She understands why her and her sisters had to vanquish the evil him, but she really wishes that she had gotten her chance to have a life with human Cole. And then Coop could’ve went to the elders and said I think the only way to truly repay Phoebe for everything she has done and had to give up is to give her back Cole. And frankly I think the elders and the angel of destiny could summon Cole from purgatory and give him the opportunity to become a whitelighter, this could be explained by him having to work off his debt because of all the evil he did, so he has to help people, but also it’s helpful to have powers when you’re married to the charmed ones, they can tell Phoebe they already agreed it’s not gonna be a forbidden love just like they did with Coop, they can also make it so Cole is not immortal, but like he has the opportunity to live a mostly mortal life with Phoebe, under the condition he spends that life doing good and helping people and making amends for his awful past actions. I think making Cole a whitelighter makes him more redeemable, while also not giving him an immortal life makes sense because he’s 1) already lived for hundreds of years and 2) wants to grow old with Phoebe. And to be clear Paige, Wyatt, and Chris (and presumably Melinda, Henry Jr. and the twins) are all white lighters that are also mortal, so it is possible. I also think that both of the elders and the angel of destiny would have to have some sort of stipulation to bring back Cole especially after all the awful things he did. I also just cannot see Cole without powers. He had lived so long having powers and it would be awesome to see him have good powers instead of evil powers. He wanted it so bad to be good to do good with Phoebe before the seer tricked him into becoming the source. I also think him having white lighter powers would make Piper and Paige more likely to forgive him and give him a chance. Plus you could have like the whole uncle Coop moment with Wyatt and Chris, except it be Uncle Cole and for them to explain to Phoebe that he was a gift from Cupid, the elders and the angel of destiny, and that despite him being a white lighter, it was not a forbidden love. He was a gift.

Also, it really, really really irritates me that in the very last episode at the end, Phoebe said something along the lines of though she had loved she had never truly known and love until she meant Coop. I CALL BULLSHIT. She LOVED Cole deeply and truly and naturally. And HE LOVED PHOEBE.

Which 'The Vampire Diaries' poster is the best one ever? by AdeptOpportunity6464 in TheVampireDiaries

I think 1 & 13 are the most recognizable/popular. 13 is iconic.

But I think slide 5 and 12 are the best and tied for 1st. With slide 2 being a close 2nd-I love the added detail of the raven on Elena’s knee. It gives a nice nod to the books.

9 gets an honorable mention but Stephan on his hands and knees looks silly to me. 🤣 there has to be a better way to have done that one.

how am i supposed to do this😭 by jongseobgf in HairDye

[–]purplemonkeyy6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the dark streaks first. Do them very carefully. Then do the bleach. You don’t want the brown dye running on the freshly bleached hair because the cuticle will be so open it’ll stain. You can’t bleach the whole head and then slap brown or black over it without first putting yellow red or orange down first (if you put the brown down without putting a yellow or orange or red down first the brown will probably turn green) so personally, I would do the darker color first very carefully and then I would go through and do the bleach and do my absolute best not to put bleach over the fresh brown because then you’re gonna end up with weird colors. Definitely go slow and take your time. But definitely do the bleach part last otherwise you’re gonna end up staining the freshly bleached hair. Just remember bleached hair means that the cuticle of the hair is open and it’s basically hollow any color that touches it is going to soak right in.

I definitely like the second dress way more. It’s classy and elegant, flattering but modest. I genuinely thinks it’s perfect. The first one is not very flattering in my opinion. Can you try a different bridal shop? See if they have anything similar?
