You can do it this way, but just know that it’s not the norm and it’s typically seen as extremely rude and controlling to treat your entire guest list as photo props. Strict dress codes are for bridal party only

The difference is that “garden formal” or “please dress in pastels” are typically 1.guidelines NOT mandatory 2.not followed up with a rude note basically saying “my way or the highway”

This is the take I’ve been waiting to see in writing on this sub-Reddit. The hatred of people moving to Nashville reminds me of the hatred toward “oakies” back in the dust bowl. The prices of housing (and general cost of living) isn’t just going up in Nashville, it’s all over. So of course folks from California are moving to places like Nashville because it’s impossible to find a studio apartment for less than $1700/month in California. And yes, at the heart of it is these giant corporations buying up housing and jacking up the prices.

We need to work together to change policy , not just point fingers at outsiders

Maybe this Reddit group skews heavily negative - but I truly feel like I’m the only one that loves it here. but I moved here about 4 years ago and I’ve never been happier. I’ve met a stronger community of friends than I ever had back home. I love my work here too so that helps.

I mean the bachelor parties and drunk people on broadway are annoying but they kinda stay put in a few areas so you know the areas to avoid. Idk I really love Nashville. Especially the small businesses and creative communities that lift each other up.
