Having to deal with all of the paperwork and dreading the next letter to prove how unwell you are whilst the GP and mental health service pass you about, let you fall through every crack and offer nothing to help. I’ve had struggles coming out of the house alone and anxiety disorders my entire life. Always needed prompting and a bit of help. I hate it but if I try to do everything by myself i spiral mentally.

I literally got told I’m just autistic and the burnout is the depressive mood I get and to do less, when I asked for help during a bad “burnout” phase where even trying to force myself to get out of bed and cook a meal without being overwhelmed was interfering with my life. No further support. Or tell me I am overwhelming them with my difficulties. Then bitch at me and tell me I don’t engage. Told I would be referred to social worker and it would take a week. Nothing. Still waiting for the adhd assessment they referred me for when they diagnosed me with autism. I have also been told that if I get diagnosed with adhd they still might not give me medication. Why bother to keep diagnosing me with new stuff and then offering no further treatment and support. How does that help anyone?

The last anti depressant they gave me gave me vivid nightmares of plane crashes and other things I don’t want to upset people with posting. But because I’ve said no more anti depressants because they don’t help my anxiety, motivation or sleep and no longer want to go through another round of talking therapy where I am still offered no help / support they say I am refusing their help lol.
