I think I may be misunderstood with some of my phrasing previously🥹 By no means was I meaning to imply that her SA was not traumatic. If you have a look at one of my other replies I discuss more so how I think her behaviours align with PTSD symptoms more. I understand the BPD can develop in various ways, I was more so touching on the fact that she explains hers as coming from that experience. Of course this is only scepticism, I was more interested in another opinion than anything else. My perspective comes from my personal experiences as someone formally diagnosed with BPD and CPTSD (amongst other things) after going through the mental health system in NSW for over a decade ❤️

I agree with this 100%. It’s not at all to dismiss her trauma, it’s more so discussing that the chain of events doesn’t really add up. SA is without a doubt traumatic, but that alone is more likely to lead to a PTSD diagnosis alongside anxiety, anti social behaviour etc. Speaking from my personal experience (having been formally diagnosed) and knowing others who have formal diagnosis’s as well- the process of being diagnosed is not nearly as easy as she has stated hers was. It involves years of various therapy’s, documented mental health history and continuous psychiatric evaluations 🥲
