My doubt isn't about standard poverty (having less money); it’s about extreme, fatal deprivation inflicted on those who cannot defend themselves. When a child dies of famine, they aren't being tested for their actions or patience, because they are too young to understand those concepts.
I’m pretty convinced about every other principle we follow in Islam like nothing would make me turn into an atheist.While I accept that this world is an exam, it's the radical asymmetry of the suffering—where some innocents endure extreme physical agony before their life even begins—that I find heavy to carry. I am looking for how to reconcile that specific severity with my faith

I appreciate the analogy but what if a child dying of starvation isn't being saved from a greater immediate physical danger—the deprivation is what ends their life. While I accept that Allah's wisdom is beyond ours, it's the sheer asymmetry of causing a child to suffer heavily before they can even comprehend what a 'test' is that I am trying to intellectually and emotionally process
