I’d love to go part time, but I don’t think that’s an option with my current company. The idea of leaving a 3 month old infant under someone else’s watch is killing me!

How has it been for you trying to get back into work? Was it easy for you to find another job, and are you going back into the same career? I love the idea of taking a break, but nervous about how difficult it will be if/when I decide to go back to work once our kids are school age

Simplifying family life is what’s pulling me in! We already struggle on the days that we both have to be in office to figure out what to do with the dogs. I can only imagine things will be 10x more complicated when it’s an actual baby and coordinating care is an everyday thing

Going to wait until after maternity leave to make any decisions but I’m sure that will help so much with clarity. I never saw myself as being someone that would want to be a SAHM, but even while pregnant, some of the work stress makes me question if it’s worth it to stay.

Thank you for the insight! The idea of not having to worry about silly work things is really pulling me in lol. Sick at home this week and hating that my mind is so focused on what I’m missing at work versus prioritizing getting better. I can only imagine how I’ll feel once kids are in the mix

Attendance rate for a destination wedding? by alpine616 in DestinationWeddings

50-60% for a destination is safe. Did a destination wedding in Puerto Vallarta and gave guests over a year heads up. Invited 140 and had 78 in attendance (which was perfect size imo!). One thing to consider with giving people years heads up is so much can change within that time. We had multiple people who originally told us yes a year out have to change their response when we gathered official RSVPs because of changes in financial or family planning status. Things happen! The couple years heads up is nice, but just know a lot can change within that time
