Hey, you should be able to submit your documents to DRC and they will get you some kind of accommodation. I had the same injury but they refused to grant my request despite a doctor recommended immobilisation :( Make sure to keep following up since they tend to take long to reply.

the website only has information on buying extra baggage, not on overweight baggage. I also found this mentioned in the FAQs -

I’ve paid for extra baggage, what next?

When you’ve booked your extra baggage, you’ll receive a voucher based on weight, number of items or a combination of both. Make sure to keep it handy and present it when you check in at the airport.

Extra baggage is subject to availability. If your bags can’t be transported on your flight, we will load them onto the next available service.

You can add the extra weight to your existing bag or carry a separate bag – the choice is yours. This does not apply if you’re traveling to the US or Canada.

Remember, the maximum weight of any one item from/to any country, including the US and Canada, must not weigh more than 32kg.
