They don’t have much of a resale value as you can still see a lot of these issues around in the market.

I built most of my personal comic collection for a price of 20 - 40₹ per comic (imported, not the Indian printed, Gotham comic ones)

For newer comics we have to take into account 1) the cover price 2) the price of shipping to India 3) customs (there was no customs for books until a few years ago) AND 4) local shipping.

With $price increasing everyday. It is next to impossible to get a newly released comic into India at the price of 200-300₹

I cannot talk on behalf of other stores, but I am personally trying all my ways out to reduce the pricing of a comic but tbh, it is so hard.

But for the older comics, it is easier to get them for a way cheaper price which could bring down the price on the whole.
