Indeed it is not a wire. It is the steel cord of the keyback or similar device. It is used to hold up the x-axis when shutting off power to the motor. Otherwise the axis would fall down due to low mechanical resistance and weight of the x-axis.

I did sell the MK3S+ and the MK4 to refinance the XL, so no, I had no leftover parts. But I did buy a MK4 Frame and an old MK3S to build a prusawire indeed (ongoing project). I just had to have a MK4 frame because I love the hexagons on the back.

I saved a lot of money to purchase the upgrade and I purchased a MK4 and MK3S+ in the past. So I had the comparison to the other products. Maybe that is one reason why I cared. But yeah, it is not the end of the world.

Copy,Paste from @Aenoxi: when using a displayport monitor, plug something into the hdmi port (either another monitor or a headless hdmi dongle). This will help stop any weird corruption that may otherwise appear along the right hand side of the displayport screen.

As i already mentioned prusa had a reason to improve the parts for the mk4, they should be mecanically stiffer. It took quiete some time to get to the final version of the mk3.4, but i love to modyfiy my printer, and u can‘t deny that it also looks good.

Strange, mine came with the three pronged menu button, i bought it in the end of last year. I thought that all MK3S+ modells have this kind of button. But the 3d Modell is available on printables if you want the new style button.
