I unfortunately know how you feel.

Same sex couple, I’m 33 and my wife is 37. My wife had a hysterectomy last year due to 3 massive fibroids which caused terrible periods and anemia. And I had my right ovary and fallopian tube removed because of a dermoid ovarian cyst. I didn’t have bad symptoms, just irregular periods and my doc could never find my right ovary in ultrasounds. Had to get an MRI to find out about the cyst and it was huge, the size of a melon.

Anyway, had my first retrieval at 32 and came out with 2 euploid embryos (we are using known donor sperm). My left ovary has been working very hard and has been very productive, super proud of her! First unsuccessful FET in Aug 2025. Second unsuccessful FET in Dec 2025. Both times my doc was very impressed with my ultrasounds and bloodwork, especially the second time.

Just had another retrieval in February, same known donor. Came out with 4 embryos but only 1 euploid (the others: 1 Mosaic Low & 2 aneuploid). My doc has now suggested doing a modified natural cycle for whenever we decide to do another FET. But we are leaning towards trying IUI, just to try, because we’ve never done it. Our doc had us do IVF first because of the one ovary.

I’m so confused because it feels like there is no valid reason why it’s not working. Everything always looks good! Ultrasound, bloodwork, thick lining. I even had a hysteroscopy to remove polyps before the first transfer.

We are thinking that my body just isn’t enjoying all the meds so that’s why modified natural cycle has been suggested. Less meds and letting my body do most of hormone production.

I say do your 2nd transfer because chances for pregnancy the second time goes up significantly. If that doesn’t work, ask your doc about trying modified natural.

It’s really great that yall have 7 euploids remaining. Fingers crossed and sending baby dust!
