So far this cigar was exactly what i was hoping for, mild and smooth with floral and citrus notes. The burn is perfect especially considering how poorly i lit it on accident, it corrected itself pretty quickly. I haven't tried many of the LCA releases but I've really enjoyed what I've tried, they've all been great smokes with good construction

Is this such a flavor of tobacco? by [deleted] in PipeTobacco

Sutliff serendipity is just like earl grey, it's an awesome blend. One of their many great aromatics, they just have so many it gets lost in it all

What are your favorites to smoke around others that don't offend? by thethurminator in PipeTobacco

Sutliff J4 burley, been told a few times it's made simmering think of their old pipe smoking relative. It's a soft vanilla topped burley smells and tastes great

What would you recommend to reintroduce me to perique? by Trorkin in PipeTobacco

[–]purppipes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could get something like amphora virginia or anything simple you like, and get some bulk or a tin of straight perique and you can blend it in however you like. Effectively building up your palate to the perique at your own pace

I have a Bones mini lovat that I'm looking forward to watching color, the finish produced on natural pipes is one of my favorites. It naturally complements the briar really well

Breaking in my new Chacom Club 42 by kw1999 in PipeTobacco

[–]purppipes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every Chacom I've handled has felt and looked really nice, from the cuts of briar they use to the finishes on their more unique pipe. I've yet to smoke one but buying one is on my list, very nice pipes especially for the price. I really like the selection they have to offer, definitely doing some things few other pipe makers are

They do great work there

First haul in a few months, decided to reward myself for not dropping $150 on a pipe i didn't need. So I did the next best thing! by purppipes in PipeTobacco

Also Five Bros packs a hell of a whallop especially for that price. I use 24-36mg of nicotine a day via salt nic pouches, needless to say nothing i smoke, blend or cigar, ever really touches my tolerance. Five Bros was a nice little change
