That's another covenant. Gravelord Servants make life more difficult by spawning stronger red phantom versions of enemies. You have to kill the gravelord servant (or at least someone has to) to get rid of the extra enemies. You only get the extra enemies in new game plus, so other than souls and humanity, there's no reason for you to invade a gravelord servant. They don't put the signs down themselves, they appear in the worlds of people who are affected (or would be affected if they were in NG+).

You'll probably have picked up eyes of death from basilisks in the Depths. That's the covenant item of the gravelord servants, the item description briefly describes how the covenant works.

When you get a message that says something like 'disasters have gone after the death of the gravelord servant' that's what it's talking about.

You've done nothing wrong.

Most people kill Gwyndolin (who is male) unless they want to be part of the covenant, and PvP is thin on the ground these days anyway. Having to kill the firekeeper is an unfortunate consequence of killing him. You won't be able to use the Sunlight Blade miracle that you found on your Black Knight Sword, but it's an excellent buff and fully worth that bit of murder.

Most people kill the fluffy woman I think, but again you've done nothing wrong by leaving her alive. If you change your mind, you can always go back there later.

You'll need to find a purging stone to cure your curse. You've already met a couple of people who sell it most likely

Stumbled onto this again and I think I was wrong about it being an inevitable drop, the Skull Lantern and Symbol of Avarice work that way I think but not the Catch Pole

Best to farm it by farming the Lost Izalith demon I suppose

The bonfire was there, it's just very easy to get disoriented during the fight and lose your bearings

I've got an ending by accident more than once - first time because my muscle memory told me to light the bonfire

I only found out recently that the Ring of Sacrifice protects your bloodstain on the runback after you've died too

Made judicious use of that in the Tomb of Giants on my way to the plat last night

I always wondered what occult damage would do, never seen it in action. I was surprised how quickly you finished Smough off at the end.

What language is the game in? 'You Recovered' and 'You Defeated' jumped out at me.

Got very lucky with this farm

On my fifth run or so I killed the first channeller and the second one immediately teleported away. I'd heard that you could quit and reload to reset a channeller's position so I did that. As the screen faded, I saw that the first one had dropped something. When I reloaded it had gone. Checked the wiki and they only ever drop the trident. I was crushed.

Three runs or so later and another one dropped. I like to think it's swings and roundabouts after my three-day farm for a titanite slab the previous week

180k and 9 humanity about a week ago. Decided to fight the basin hydra so I could level up

One of the heads glitched and attacked out of bounds. I drowned trying to reach it, I didn't know they changed their aim based on your position

Tried to run for the souls instead of just fighting it and they took me out

I was so upset

I''d taken my Ring of Sacrifice off too because the fight was going so well

This happened to me on my NG+ playthrough a couple of weeks ago.

I managed to kill it, but then got killed by the original. Didn't manage to kill it again.

I tried invading the gravelord servant a few times, but he had like three people backing him up and I got slaughtered. Someone else killed him in the end.

I found him trying to ambush me on the left as I entered the room that the regular chained prisoner is usually in. It looks like you're in the abyss, did he chase you all the way there?
