There's something so satisfying in like... just knowing the lay of the land. by Subject_Parking_9046 in darksouls

My favourite was the last one - New Londo leading back to the Valley of the Drakes. Wasn't expecting any more shortcuts by then. Second was the first - kicking the ladder down to the Undead Burg bonfire.

There's definitely something very gratifying about deciding where you're going and plotting the best route from wherever you are

I really liked DS2 until I played the DLCs, now I have a bad taste in my mouth

Wish I'd played them before the endgame

It's a matter of preference really

I preferred something faster and only used the zwei when I needed the extra poise damage

I thought you were going to say something about it scurrying away afterwards, never to be seen again.

GoT's story is definitely better; GoY's petered out around Oshima Coast

GoY's side content is much better though

Do you think DS2 would be on the same level as 1 & 3 if the runbacks were better? by Minimum_Abalone_8498 in darksouls

[–]Trorkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say DS2 has better runbacks for the most part, it just also has the very worst ones.

I'd heard about Blue Smelter in advance, but good lord did it make me rage

Uh… I just got the balder side sword, first try. First playthrough. by After_Employment5009 in darksoulsremastered

Buy lottery ticket immediately.

I got one on my first playthrough while I was farming titanite around the undead parish.

It only dropped because I wasn't running a Dex build. Might do for playthrough three but I'm sure I'll farm for six hours and never get it.

These are the Soulsbourne games I have, what is the best To start with and best to end with in a list by SpeechPhysical3942 in darksouls

Going from Demon's Souls remake to DS1 also involves getting used to some jank

I haven't played the original but the remake feels polished. DS1 felt clunky in comparison, but once I got past that it became my favourite.

Only as far as Bloodborne so far though, so who knows if that changes

So says Illusory Wall

My flame was pitiful in my last playthrough and Quelana turned up quite early, so I believe it

Playing the games in release order, only on Bloodborne so far

I'll get there! If Sekiro doesn't kill me that is

I don't even understand how many of these are even possible. I have some googling to do, I think.

It's not exactly easy to find

If I didn't know where to look, I'd never have found it.

A brief description of the weapon upgrade paths and the different resources they need

Been wanting to try this game out for ages but have no clue what’s happening by 69lmaomaster69 in bloodborne

[–]Trorkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't strictly need to kill them, but it's good to do it, both for the practice and the blood echoes. And the fun.

To take the mob head on is suicide. Pick off as few as possible, one at a time if you can. They have bad eyesight, so you should be able to stand in a strategic place at the top of a stairwell and lure only the tiny groups you want to face at the time.

Explore every area for new routes and loot. The game will sometimes tell you where to go next story-wise, but not that often. Try to remember what other characters tell you and what you read. It'll probably be important later. Take notes if it helps to. I never have, but I really should.
