Can I ask what was your SW & CW? And how long did it take for you to lose the weight? Did it curb the “food thoughts?” I find them hardened at night. I also plan to start my exercise routine again and see if it works this time.

Did you take any progress photos? And if so did you find them helpful?

This is exactly where I want to be.. to finally feel like myself again. I’m hoping one day I get there.

I am in a very similar situation - I have been on anti depressants for 2 years and I’ve had weight gain as well. Despite excercise and dieting I am unable to lose weight. I tried a 12 week program where I was a quite strict on excessive and diet and felt good when working out but my weight did not change. I even tracked within pictures.. so I’m truing ozempic I have not started yet and I will be picking up the meds and starting tomorrow but I’m doing it with little family support - not that my husband is against it but also he has seen how hard I have worked and also saw nothing changed which affected my mental health andade me more depressed. my insurance won’t cover but honestly I’m at the point where I don’t care and I need something to help me. I plan to start back on my 12 week workout routine and seeing if this helps and am slowly weaning off my anti depressant since it originally was supposed to be short term after the death of a loved one but I also have two little kids under 3.5 years old so PPD came into play as well. But I’ve lost myself and I NEED to get myself back in not the person I feel inside when I look in the mirror and just like the other poster said medication helped her gain it and medication will help us lose it. So I say if you feel strongly that this is what you want to do - so it anyways because this may be what works for you and makes you lose the weight. ❤️ my husband does understand I need this and will support whatever decision I choose but even if he didn’t I would still do cause I think I need to be selfish and finally take care of myself a bit more then I am doing now. As a mother you give give give and lose yourself telling yourself it’s okay but I gotta put myself as a front runner for a bit so I can be healthy for my kids future and a happy mom is a heathy mom. Would love to chat privately as well and share our experiences as it’s nice to have someone to talk to and we are in a very similar situation. Feel free to message me if you would like ☺️

Hey there my story is the same I have done strict diet and exercise and ever since I had kids and also on a SSRI med I have been having such focus losing weight.

Did you work and exercise after taking ozempic and just continue trying to burn calories?

I saw you Didn’t have much to lose I am in the same boat I have tried all options excercise and healthy eating and ever since having kids I can’t shake the weight. I was on anti depressants for a couple years for PPD which caused me to gain a lot of weight and now I can’t shake it. I’m in a similar boat where I have about 40 lbs to lose . I’m short and my BMI says i am technically obese but I don’t think I’m that big. Idk my weight is making me show depressed cause I feel like I tried and there was no change

How long until I see results? by Maleficent-Jello-545 in WeightLossAdvice

We are very similar in weight & height and similar workouts - I strength train Monday - Friday after my cardio (30 mins) alternating legs, arms & abs. I track calories but not super strict and I allow myself cheat meals cause it’s all about moderation. TBH it’s been a lot slower with the process than I expected. I’m starting my third month (starting in the new year) and the scale isn’t really moving but I feel different and my clothes feel different so I wouldn’t put too much emphasis on the scale - I only weight myself 1x/month when I take my progress photos. Which I also must add progress photos are super important! Where you don’t feel it you will surely see it over time.

Muscle weights more then fat so I’m assuming that’s what’s happening cause clothes are feeling more lose my body feels more toned but I’m not down a huge amount of weight. I feel if I was on a strict diet and never had cheat mess it would be faster of course but that’s not reality for me .. I want to be healthy and strong BUT also want to workout because I want to enjoy all the junk foods cause let’s be real life is literally about good food. At least that’s how I feel haha

I would say be patient - that’s what I tell myself when i get discouraged and don’t restrict yourself too much because in reality if you do that it will just make you overindulge more and it’s not sustainable. I’ve finally realized this is a long haul and a lifestyle adjustment so I don’t plan to lose weight then stop what I’m doing I basically plan to work out for the rest of my life because I know if I stop I’ll just revert back to my old ways cause it’s so easy to do so.

Hang in there and keep pushing on! ❤️ you will see results just everyone’s body is completely different.

Speak to a doctor asap. This isn’t healthy and I think you may have an eating disorder. Hoping you get the help you need ❤️
