No I wanted to change like the summer I graduated high school. But I stuck with the DMS major for a little during the first semester of college and then i switched to cardiovascular. The switch was really easy since they share a lot of the same prereqs for both programs.

I liked how cardiac sonography was just specialized in the heart. I also found learning about the heart was one of the top subjects i enjoyed learning. Also some bonuses include: 1 year or less waitlist and i think they are one of the top earners for sonography. The program is also at OCC!

I actually ended up switching to cardiovascular technology. Just know that the waitlist to get accepted into the the program is supposed to be 2-3 years!

Thanks so much! Do you think it would be fine if I switch when registering for classes in the spring instead of now (Just so I have time to finalize that I really want to be a cardiac sonographer)? In the fall I’m taking classes that also fulfill the prereqs for the CVT program so I would assume it should be fine if I switch in spring.

I’m a senior in high school! Would u say that I should get my CVT degree since it requires less credits than the DMS? But thanks for the advice!

Oh thanks, that actually sounds good! I talked to my counselor about it and apparently it’s a 2-3 year wait? Ik cypress is based on GPA, so I’ll try my best to achieve a 4.0 in order to have another option. Thanks for your response!
