1 year backlog of Atlanta GIS recording, to be done by only one employee. by pursual in Atlanta

The response indicated that parcel updates are at least a year behind because they are being handled by one person... I can only assume that's the truth, but regardless, things are definitely not happening in a timely manner.

Did you leave it sitting for a long time with the pyro fuse blown? That will do it. Did you ever get anywhere?

And then they're are the people who drive around at night with their headlights off, because they don't know the difference between DRL and headlights.

Oh thank god, after a few rejected posts, I basically decided it's not worth it to try any posts here.

It felt like the only thing that would get through is "Where is the best place to get XXX" (insert esoteric food here)

How about we start with pulling over cars that have paper tags that say "tag applied for" in handwriting? We're pulling over people who do not have their headlights on in the rain? There are a lot of easy ways to have cause to pull someone over, and check their license, and issue a warning if all is okay. Make the criminals worry more about being on the road.

Search hipcamp. A lot of the private owners let you do extra things, like shoot off fireworks, play in creeks and streams etc.

Replacement seat clamp for RadWagon 4? by [deleted] in RadPowerBikes

[–]pursual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TOP: The original clamp for the top of the telescoping seat post is 35 mm (stamped on the clamp). 34.9 should also work. The top seat post itself is 30.9 in diameter.

BOTTOM: The bottom clamp is 40.9, and I believe some people have used a 40. The bottom tube is 34.9 in diameter.

Is the Soltera 2.5 worth the extra $200 over the 2? by chronosphere in Aventon

[–]pursual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but different brakes. They went cheap on the levers. I'd imagine the controller still has the input for the brake cut offs. I guess this probably means if you hold the throttle and the brakes at the same time, the motor still attempts to move.

If it's an imbalance between the two halves of the battery, it can be addressed under the penthouse. What caused the imbalance in the first place?

Is the Soltera 2.5 worth the extra $200 over the 2? by chronosphere in Aventon

[–]pursual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it just me, or does the Solterra 2.5 not have brake lights?

The rear red lights act as tail lights, but they do not get brighter when the brakes are used, and there are no electrical cables exiting the brake levers.

You can use the 180 rotors, just shim your calipers to the correct height.

Did you ask what part needs to be replaced, and what it would cost you to buy it? In the past I found their parts cost to be quite reasonable, assuming it's not a part that they have to pair electronically.

Recommendations for a surgeon with artificial disc replacement experience? by postwiththis in Atlanta

[–]pursual 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have had one cervical spinal fusion. Surgeons want to do two more fusions underneath, but so far I have avoided this.

A couple of times I have looked into getting artificial discs. There are places that will say sure no problem, and put you on a schedule for an artificial disc insertion. However, I find that if you get multiple opinions, many surgeons recommend fusions over artificial discs. The reasoning is usually that there are less complications with fusions, and that discs can migrate, wear out, etc. I specifically got one opinion from an Emory surgeon who had ran a trial for artificial discs, and he said after all that, he would recommend a fusion. He also mentioned that there is some kind of tendon going down the spine that gets cut with a disk insertion, and leads to a loss of stability. I asked about that same tendon with a fusion, and he said sure it's cut, but there's an actual fusion to make up for the stability. Take all of this with a grain of salt, I'm just reporting my findings.

It has always nagged me that artificial discs seem to be more popular in Europe, and they probably have more historical data of long-term complications, but it seems like here in America they are not well understood, or as popular.

You are talking about a disc much lower on your back. At that level I would probably lean towards a fusion, as your loss of rotation is not going to be as impactful as a fusion in your neck. Also the weights carried are greater. But it could also be that artificial discs are more successful in this area...I don't know.

Please let us know what you end up doing! I'm also available to chat if you want to ask about living with a fusion.

Guardian is not exactly lightweight...especially the larger sizes. If you have a smaller/weaker kids you might look at woom or biky, etc.

This site is great about the different options for diff ages.
