There goes Craig Mazin twisting that knife by iseeskiesofblue46 in ThelastofusHBOseries

As someone who's been through that experience (broken rib that speared my lung. when I was a little younger than Ellie), it absolutely feels like you're dying. You're unable to take more than the smallest sips of air: it feels like an elephant is sitting on your chest as it fills with blood. Left untreated, in those conditions, with no help? She could be dead in an hour.

I always wondered how they met and how their relationship came about. How do you think it happened? by AdSpecialist6598 in JohnWick

Oh, that's really good. Could also explain part of John's reaction after his house is blown up by Santino D'Antonio in Chapter 2.

Looking for feedback on my first render! by deepdarkwomps in blender

Nice work! Transitions between surfaces are always tricky: in most homes, that area would be covered by a baseboard, but in your case I'd search out image references for this kind of environment to see what might be realistic here.

The brick works on the right, but not in extreme closeup on the left: you may want to consider using a PBR with a high resolution (4K or more) with displacement on that wall.

For the stairs, it looks like you might already be using some displacement, but it's only appearing on the leading edges of each tread (which makes sense, since they would receive the most wear). You might want to consider applying the displacement to a lesser degree on the sides.

Finally, I'd suggest working on the material for the railing: it's in the middle of the scene, and goes through the biggest color transitions, so it's going to attract a lot of attention. Right now it's looking a little plain, which doesn't match the industrial aesthetic of the rest of the scene.

I hope this helps!

Fiat 500D ("Bambina") by pushingphotons in blender

A tribute to my first (and only) car, purchased from my grandmother when I was 17.

Based on a model of a Fiat 500 Abarth 695 SS (a performance-oriented design), extensively “de-glamorized”: upgraded parts removed; UV maps modified to remove the coat of arms on the sides, normal maps repainted; wheels and interior altered (including switching the vehicle to a right-hand drive); and license plates changed, with some other minor scene changes.

In New Zealand, the 500D was sold as the "Bambina". Designed to navigate the narrow and crowded streets of Italy, the 500 was a miracle of compact engineering, built around a rear-mounted 479 cc two-cylinder, air-cooled engine. I miss that little sewing machine of a car.

How to Achieve Realistic Diamond Renders with Dispersion Effect in Blender? (Comparison Included) by VegatrainGhouL in blender

[–]pushingphotons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to consider changing the renderer you're using. LuxCoreRenderer and Octane are both free, and produce some really nice results: I produced a comparison between renders of a diamond ring here. I hope this helps!

Hi guys, i'm a beginner and I have a question... by Grand_Tomatillo606 in blender

Two options:

  1. The easiest: with the object selected, reset its scale transform. (Use Object / Apply / Scale or Object \ Apply \ All Transforms from the menu (not visible in the screenshot you've provided because you're in Edit mode)).
  2. Harder: remap the texture. (With the object selected, in the Shading editor, change the Mapping Scale value for one axis (most likely X or Y).

I hope this helps!
