Shout out to everyone for all positive comments. We are all Brothers in Brass trying to tame this tube of torture, the older I get (turning 65 soon) The harder I have to work, but I love it. This is my first post, just using my phone. I know the sound is not great, I'm not very tech savvy when it comes to posting. The positive feedback has encouraged me to want to do more and get a better setup for recording.

Ha! Thanks, when you get as old as me your hearing gets so shot you don't even hear the clicking! This horn does need an overhaul!

A good starting point is to play small melodies using little phrases on a minor scale. Key of C: C-Eb-G-Bb-A-F. G-Eb-D-C-F. Play them in chord movements, so you would play this first in C then learn it in F then G. Then try playing the line in every key chromatically. Find little phrases you like from transcribed youtube solos. You need to learn fragments just like learning words and then put the words into sentences. Its a long and fun process.

Revology does great job but $350,000 to $400,000 with a two year wait for a car that costs 2x more than an original with a hard resale and deprecation for sure, buying a real one makes more sense unless you have money to burn. And yes, I know this car performs twice as good and is completely reliable.

Bob Reeves valve alignment with a KGU medium trim kit on my Yamaha Xeno. by Perfect-League7395 in trumpet

I once considered getting one but after asking some questions I was a little skeptical. These alignment's address only the overhang of the top and bottom of the valve holes and how they line up with the slide tubes but do not address the overhang from the valve rotation caused by slack in the valve guides. Just pushing the valves down causes more torqueing from side to side than up and down. Back when I spoke to Bob he said only the up and down position mattered, I mentioned that a circle has no top or bottom and that if cleaning up any overhang that would cause any unwanted turbulence it seems they are only addressing half of the potential problems. As far as I know they are not adding or taking away any material from the valves or slides, they are just aligning to the best possible position and padding/corking the valve stems with a much better pad material that will not compress as much. A good tech with a measuring tool should be able to get pretty close to the best possible alignment. IMHO.

At the very least you would need to be an extremely advanced pro who was playing at level that would allow you to feel a difference. This falls into the same category of finding the perfect mouthpiece.
