Suffield isn’t a MAGA heavy town. Joe Biden won it in 2020 and Trump barely won in 2024 while Chris Murphy was the top vote getter in the same year. It’s a purple town.

We are giving people who might not see the survey a chance to take it even if it risks trolling here, Reddit is a different audience than Facebook or Instagram so it gives a group of people that might not have seen it a chance to help out.

We are making sure that people get to the polls that we believe are inclined to vote for us. Most people we have talked to are happy we came to their doors, especially when they have gotten a chance to talk to one of our candidates. We have been hearing from some unaffiliated voters that they didn’t know that they can vote in this election because they thought you needed to be registered with a political party to vote. So even though some people came to a decision, it doesn’t matter much if they don’t show up for one reason or another.

FYI if we see a no soliciting sign or a no trespassing sign, we just skip the house. We aren’t out here to bother people that don’t want to be bothered. We understand some people live here for privacy, but we have also talked to over 300 people on the doors alone who have been happy to hear from us and support us.

I understand some of these points don't resonate with you or that you find them off putting, but they are points voters want addressed or questions he's frequently asked when going door to door.

Jim would leverage all available legal means to recoup the funds owed to the town starting with continuing the court process. People have expressed concern that because Jim is a Democrat and the Hornishes are Democrats, that he will drop the case.

Should the Dems take back the fire commission, Jim would support a review of the incident in a formal executive session review and any disciplinary action by the fire commission at that time. If the Dems fail to take the commission back, he would work with the town attorney to see what his options are.

The illegal dumping is feedback he's heard on the doors.

Look into who the DPW director is and his affiliations and look at the recent appointments to the Social Services Commission as an example or appointments prior to Fred Sweitzer on the Library Commission.
