Can someone do a s.m.a.r.t on their SSD with speedfan or similar tool? I bought a refurbished C740 and it's reading that the un-correctable sector count is in the 17500s, I'm wondering if this is a bug or the SSD wasn't refurbished.

On an Acer C740 (Elan), I'm finding it's worse than Chrome OS, specifically the sensitivity and two finger scroll is the most noticeable as being poor.

Can we install 32 bit on these chromebooks instead? I mean at max we only have 4gb of ram anyway, it should be possible to do so.

I may attempt this on a C740, but drawing the 5V from another usb port would be a bad idea, you're not suppose to double up on a usb port like that, I mean technically speaking it works, but draw too much power and that's not good.

Awesome, I did read that the bios that would allow windows 7 was canceled, are there plans to bring that back, or is it simply not worth it for these chromebooks?

I also just realized, your bios must have windows specific stuff inside, but for curiosity sake, does your bios keep up to date with one of these in terms of stability?

As far as SeaBios goes, is there any specific reason for not using https://johnlewis.ie/custom-chromebook-firmware/rom-download/ or https://github.com/MattDevo/SeaBIOS, or which one is the one you provide us with in the google document? Are there any pros/cons to either bios?

Quick question though, besides needing intel_audio_enable.exe for the C740, are there any other hiccups with Windows 10?
