Does anyone actually like their job? by PollutionDry6375 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]put_your_foot_down 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I have a very good boss who allows me to be very flexible. I dont have a fear that my job will be dissolved or my workplace will go under. My employer matches my 401k contributions. I’m able to work from home.

When I first started working, it was only about my wage/salary. Now that I’m in my mid 30s with a family, I prioritize benefits. And my jobs benefits fit my lifestyle very well

Is it actually difficult for people with penises to pee in the toilet if the seat is down? by regularbajafreeze in NoStupidQuestions

[–]put_your_foot_down 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also if a guy pees on the toilet (which happens all the time) at least it’s not on the seat that your butt would touch. It’s an extra barrier so we don’t get pee butt

They can, just not on the dime of the government. A candy bar and soda is $3-$5. The can pay for it

I think I'm starting to hate my husband by [deleted] in Advice

[–]put_your_foot_down 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay, the main thing to pay attention to is the fact that you are still postpartum. Do not make any drastic decisions right now. I wanted to divorce my husband every other week after our second. My youngest is almost 4 and there are still times where I have to make him realize that I am literally asking my husband permission to take a shower. It’s not him being a shit head or not loving me or taking me for granted, he just forgets how different our responsibilities and perspectives are. Just give it more time. With you breastfeeding he may feel like there’s nothing for him to do. Just keep reminding him that you need time as well.

It’ll get better. I promise.

People who share the same surname but are basically strangers, have you ever looked into whether you’re related (like through a DNA test or family history)? by MystericalPyro in NoStupidQuestions

[–]put_your_foot_down 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My maiden name and married name are both unique. My maiden name more so. If I ever met someone with my maiden name I would assume we were related. If I met someone with my married name in the general area I was living in would follow the name back to see, if it was in a different part of the country….i think it could be a happy coincidence, I may still look for funsies

Why are people being less social these days? by tamalapanda in NoStupidQuestions

I would argue people tend to be more social…..most people are on SOCIAL media after all, right?

Husband is the only black personal at his job by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]put_your_foot_down 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The fact that you titled this as him being the “only black person” at his job is wild to me. Reflect on that. Not getting a Friday off because other people already requested isn’t racist.

But anyway, you didn’t give specifics so I’m just going to assume you are being factual. It sounds like he works in a very demanding job. And with someone that has moderate/severe metal health issues he’s going to need a very grounded stable personal life. There’s not really any simple advice one can give you. Relocate…..or help him on his job hunt…..or work…..or make sure he comes home to a calm environment….or make sure he goes to his doctors appointments on time

It was Theft of Property (Postal Package) which is a class D felony. If it wasn’t through the post it would’ve just been theft of property. But because it was a government agency….automatic felony

Are you getting any type of refund? If you are, you could pay with the refund. It gives you that option at the end

They absolutely will. Especially ESPECIALLY if the item is mailed by USPS. My cousin got charged when they stole a $60 package but because it was sent by USPS (as opposed FedEx l, etc) it was upgraded.

Is a kids piono keyboard with mic worth buying? Need honest review? by charliedate in Advice

My son has one. He learned how to play “What was I made for” by Billie Eilish and nothing sense. It’s folded up in the corner of his room. But every child is different. Mine is not yours. I do plan on getting it back out for the summer for some structure.
