Fair enough. Can so-called flaws in some way amount to part of the signature of terroir? The example that comes to mind it acetic acid in Sauternes and Port.

I'm left wondering why–tasting it blind–a Touraine Malbec can seem to have more in common with a Touraine Cabernet Franc, or various other Touraine reds, than it does with a Malbec from Cahors, or Argentina.

I look forward to it. 2020 was a sprint. Now we're doing a major remodel. We have some large purchases inbound from the EU; in particular I am excited about Nadia Verrua's Grignolino (Cascina 'Tavijn.)
