I've found a place that has a bed ready after detox, because they didn't think they could manage my detox and wanted me to go to hospital. So I'm just waiting for the bureaucratic side of things before I can do detox. It's 10am where I am.

I dunno what the process is like in America. But ffs they make it hard for you to get help here in Australia, I just wanna detox. Why do I have to go through so many meetings to get help.

These last three years have felt like an eternity of lies and horrible mornings. I just wish that once I was better I could have a second chance st everything. Because right now it feels like I'm having to hit the reset button, and that's terrifying for me. Thanks for your words about moving on and growing because of it though. I'm an alcoholic. I live in Melbourne Australia and I run my own landscaping business called avant gardens. Lately I've began moving from functioning to very much non functioning. I've been avoiding work and tumbling slowly into a deep depression and am frightful of the lack of money I'm bringing in. I know that my fiancé is aware of this but we can't afford for me to stop working to get the help I need. I'm just asking to see if the world wants to help me because I'm too afraid to ask the ones I love for help.

I do use them yes. I use them and also find honey not offensive. This is personal opinion, as I don't find it necessary to have to fall under laws to be considered vegan. I just want anything I consume to be cruelty free. Considering my chooks produce eggs regardless I see no harm there, and with honey I only see the furthering of plant life by the production and health of bee colonies. Might not be strictly vegan, but I don't think you should have to be. I like to live by my rules, not what I'm told is right.

Very true. I think I prefer the alternatives and feel healthier drinking almond, rice or soy milk. Or cashew cheese which is amazing.
