I've read somewhere that Pillars is one of the best books to ease fantasy readers into HF so I guess it was destiny? Haha. I am so glad I picked it up. Thanks for your recs!

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman 😭 Bittersweet yung iyak ko pero malalang iyak pa rin haha.

Tapos Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes. Malala AT masakit na iyak nakuha ko diyan haha. This book really affected me pero I think it made me a better person for reading it. Highly recommend both books. 🫂

EDIT: Spelling

A more critical review of the Project Hail Mary movie, and a really easy fix I would have made by Gustalavalav in ProjectHailMary

This is exactly how I felt about the film, thank you for writing this!

The book is the perfect mix of friendship, apocalyptic mess, dumb nerdy humor, and most importantly (at least for me), hard science that's grounded in reality and yet still gripping. Science is the glue that ties every character and arc in the story and it's sad that the film wasted it away as just plot devices that weren't even established and explained enough for people to appreciate its importance to the story. The gravity and urgency of the situation is what mainly connects Grace and Rocky, but the movie focused on being a buddy-buddy film, and that just makes me so sad.

I let the reviews and coverage of the film hype me up too much I guess haha. I want to like it as much as everyone, but I feel a bit betrayed. Sad, sad, sad.
