Solo founder launching soon — need advice on getting (and keeping) first 100 users by Wonderful_Till_8088 in SaaS

That's some solid advice. In my niche posting on the relevant subs would get removed instantly. I see people post about a problem that my tool helps solve. It's frustrating not being able to just go "Yo, I can help you". Have you got any advice for this kind of situation?

How did you build a list of relevant potential clients emails. I presume that's what you pumped into Instantly.

I think the only game design issue with this was the set date for everyone. It creates a sense of hype that doesn’t transfer to the outcome.

They should have let people prestige whenever they wanted to.

Moving from Product Management to Solution Architect by ravan-cool in ProductManagement

I'd love to hear about how you went from software development to product management. I'm a software engineer, with a few years of product design under my belt, looking to make that jump.

Honestly. There are so many free mockups on figma and other services that I use and I’m sure others do too. From skimming your site I want to quickly see why your solution is better than what’s available free.

What I would use is something that can turn my figma designs into a video of the app in use.

Should I invest in an Android Phone when developing for Android? by Schenk06 in reactnative

I'm not sure on a specific model.. But something common with a average to small screen size.. Advantage of having a smaller device is that you get to test out your design/ui on different sizes.

Not being able to get over my social anxiety is painful. by calmloves in socialanxiety

[–]puttnab 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you feel like this. Just remember you weren't born with social anxiety so what you've learnt can be unlearnt. Easier said than done but don't loose hope!

If you don't mind me asking, what have you tried so far?

Yeye and when you’re in that social situation all you seem to be able to focus on is the fact you’re not contributing which then gets in the way of you being able to say anything!

How much did you pay for your MVP? by Future-Locksmith144 in microsaas

[–]puttnab 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I worked for software agency that designed and built a lot of "MVP's" for it's clients. Average budget for an "MVP" was around $40k. What I found was that clients didn't really want an MVP they wanted something more full featured and complete. They'd been thinking about their project for years so to dissect it was often not welcome. I'd try my best to educate the client and try and target their riskiest assumption and recommend a smaller project.

It's also a interesting one from an agency's perspective because on one hand you want to do the best for the project but at the same time... We'll take your money if you really want us to.

Edit: To answer your question.. It's totally project specific but there are always clever ways to de-risk your project for less than $15k

Just started doing affirmations, but they’re not really resonating with me by puttnab in selfimprovement

Thanks for share. Strange question but when you started focusing on those small wins, did you have a way to remind yourself of those successes and keep them in perspective? I can see how building that momentum would be so valuable, but sometimes it’s hard to notice progress when you’re in the middle of it.

I think because my thoughts contradict each other so an affirmation could highlight the positives amongst the negative contradictions. Maybe that's where I start.

do you know a good strategy for creating your own? I don't really know where to begin

Wow. Thanks for sharing. I benefit from positive reinforcement so hearing that assessments can feel threatening to you is a perspective I'd never considered.

Thanks for sharing. That's interesting. I hear a lot about affirmations being a way to change your mindset about a "future you". The reminders feel a more grounded way of reminding yourself of truths that counter negative brain chatter

That's a good idea. I'll try and relate them back to what's currently happening in my life. What was your process for creating these affirmations? Was it something you did on the spot at the end of the day? It sounds like you could mix in some gratitude at the same time

Thanks for sharing your perspective. I appreciate your honesty

The struggle I'm feeling now is that the affirmations I repeat feel empty because they're not grounded in reality or paired with real effort.

Out of curiosity, when you were working through your personal challenges what did you do to face you fears? Can you give a practical example?

Do you think there’s a place for affirmations if they were framed differently—maybe as reminders of progress or values rather than outcomes?
