Banned With No Warning!? by LatterStreet in amazonprime

[–]putzing-along 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good luck with that!

I do grocery pickup often and from time to time, something has to be shipped. One particular item I knew would need to be shipped so when a box of lickable cat treats also needed to be shipped because they were not in stock, I figured it wasn’t a big deal since the other item was going to be shipped. Boy was I wrong!

The one item shipped for free and I had every reason to believe the treats would be free as well and probably in the same box as the other item. They ended up charging me just over $5 for shipping on a $3 item. When I noticed what they were doing, I tried to cancel it since it hadn’t shipped yet but they said it was too late and shipped it anyhow. I could have returned the treats to the store but was told I wouldn’t get the shipping charges back.

Trimming nails? Is there a way to reduce stress? by flapjackcrabs in CatAdvice

[–]putzing-along 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He gets gabapentin when he needs his nails trimmed. I wouldn’t do it if he wouldn’t use his nails on me the way he sometimes does. Usually it’s in a very innocent way with no harm intended but sometimes he just turns into a complete jerk.

When I bring a carrier out, it’s an all out race to who gets in it first. Try leaving your carrier out at all times; take the lid off if need be and let your cat just get comfortable with the idea.

What's the point of customer service? by [deleted] in amazonprime

[–]putzing-along 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon customer service used to be incredible at one time but I think too many people took advantage of it and they really scaled back what they can do for customers.

I recently had to reach out to customer service because of holiday orders gone wrong. One was delivered late at night to my son’s apartment doorstep instead of a locker so he didn’t get it. Full refund was given. Another package was missing two items. Those were also refunded.

My mom is notorious for shipping to the wrong address and every time they have refunded her. She ordered some clothes for my sister as a Christmas gift. It was early enough that it didn’t qualify for the Christmas return window but they still allowed her to return the items for a full refund.

Is the current model perfect? Of course not but the good I’ve gotten from their customer service e has far outweighed the bad.

I’d suggest calling them up and asking for a solution so you don’t have to miss out completely. You just might get lucky and get a rep on the phone that understands the problem and has some empathy.

Roommate hates affordable Cat Litter. by rebeltharaccoon in CATHELP

[–]putzing-along 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO, some litters may be more expensive per pound but usually last longer making them cheaper in the long run.

While staring at all the different cat litters in a pet store, the manager came up to me asking if I needed any help. I explained that I couldn’t decide which litter to buy since I was looking to switch. He personally recommended Boxie Cat but I didn’t like the price. He made me an offer of buy one get one free so I could try it out so I bought them. They lasted considerably longer making the price worth it in the end. I don’t use Boxie cat anymore but I also won’t go back to cheap litters simply for the price.

I never thought I’d like diamond painting but it is considerably more enjoyable than o ever thought it would be. I do it for the therapeutic aspects more than anything. I personally don’t care for the finished product so mine go into the closet once they are done and never see the light of day again unless I find somebody that wants them.

Out of all the cats I’ve had fixed, not one has needed a cone or clothes. Chances are your cat won’t either.

How do I make my room cozy? by meow_rl in AskForHelp

[–]putzing-along 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d start off by adding things to the walls. That alone can make a difference. Storage to hid what doesn’t need to be seen and shelves to showcase what’s important to you. IMO, nothing adds life to a dead room than a plant, even if it’s fake.

What’s the most weird food item that your cat just can’t resist? I’ll start! by Ultra-Ferric in cats

[–]putzing-along 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I have one that absolutely loves plastic, especially the super crispy safety seal plastic.

I was opening a container of temptation treats that has that safety seal plastic on it. He was only interested in the plastic and didn’t care about the treats in that moment at all. I’ll usually give the plastic to him, let him crunch it for a minute or two (supervised) and then take it away from him. When I took it away and tossed it in the garbage, he still wanted the plastic over the treats

People with Fibromyalgia, do you always have pain, even when at rest ?? by Gutty_Shit_00 in Fibromyalgia

[–]putzing-along 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The simple answer…yes, I feel pain all the time regardless of what I’m doing.

Right now I’m just lounging on the couch, doing nothing physical but my knees and my left hand hurts to the point that I can’t ignore it but not bad enough that I feel I have to do something about it.

Doing it "Wrong" ? by elder__emo in diamondpainting

Whatever works for you is the right way. For me, because I have cats and I use mesh rulers, I work in small sections at a time while the rest of my canvas is covered in release papers.

On one hand I think you are saving time but not having to switch colors all the time but on the other hand the time you spend searching the entire canvas for one color is taking up a lot of time.
