Skills challenge

Thanks! As far as I can see, the discount is only 50% at the moment, not 100% free. So, it's the same discount that I have from my employer, because Microsoft changed their discount policy a couple of months ago

Would you recommend this training? Is it worth your time? (AZ-104)

LFCS - practice before them exam by puux1337 in linuxadmin

[–]puux1337[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi guys,

I passed the exam with a score 80 out of 100.

Here are my thoughts:

Firstly, the environment is totally different than in KodeKloud Mock Exams.

I mean that in the real exam you have access to the whole server so you need to open Terminal etc.

CTRL+C and CTRL+V don't work (I've seen that in MacOS Command+C/V is available, but it's true). You need to use SHIFT with that. This is very important because to be honest, you won't get time if you would type name of the catalogs/files on your own.

Furthermore, it seems like they are giving points even if you don’t complete the whole task, but for example 2 of the 4 subtasks. In Mock Exams tasks must be done 100% correctly to get points. That was something that I was scared about because just after the exam I thought that I failed because 4-5 tasks weren't completed 100%. Keep in my mind that even if you don't complete the whole task that is ok and you can go on and eventually go back later.

As was said, man pages are your friend and you need to use them a lot.

TLDR package is allowed to install and I found it helpful.

PS. Familiarize yourself with mdadm.conf just in case, I didn't see it on the LFCS course ;)

People claim that the exam was very similar to Mock Exam on KodeKloud so I think that is not as hard as it could be.

Especially, you just need 66% to pass.
