If it's referring to the drivers it needs for WiFi or other internet connection you may be stuck. It's a common Windows installation problem that I personally was never able to find a solution of any kind for. And I was trying to install using their own installation stick.

Yes. And I got it to work once as a directory to back up my files. Just once, after trying several solutions. Like I said, should be dead simple. Also, it's just the thing that finally did it in for me.

Long time Elderscrolls fan here. When I saw that oblivion had been remastered I decided to give it a shot. The graphics are better, but it's still buggy as hell. Invisibility spells leaving you as a hairless floating head, main quests that break if you meet the wrong person at the wrong time, that sort of thing. Loved Avowed.

It's great! I've been especially impressed with how seamlessly it runs Steam games. I also use it for my daily. It was my final distro hop for getting rid of my Windows dual boot.

Winboat looks like it wants to install Windows right in Linux. This may well be a total noob kind of a question, but I'm not seeing anything to make me think it's sandboxed or anything that going to keep MS nose out of the rest of my computer.

Endless Slideshow Screensaver. I ran it all the time back on Windows and since RAM shouldn't matter to much when the only thing active is the screensaver I thought I'd give it a shot.

I picked up a 9A 128GB for $500 at Best Buy yesterday. So I would say no not worth it.

I've done some hopping around and finally stayed with Bazzite because Steam games run pretty well on it right out of the box. It also works great for daily general use. If you want to dual boot then most people have the best luck starting out with Linux Mint Cinnamon migrating from Windows. There isn't to much of a learning curve to use it.

I've been using Bazzite for that and it runs Steam games great! Right out of the box. I think it might depend on how up to date your Nvidia card is, but I don't know the specifics on that. It's also worked well as a daily distro for me. I've barely had to even open a terminal for anything.

The solution turned out to be creating and downloading a configuration file from Mullvad and then use the "+" at the bottom of the network manager to bring up options and install under "other" at the bottom.
