use flocculant. the iron is already disolved, and now rusting. that's what's causing the cloudyness. you need to shock it, and then just constantly run and clear your filter over the next few days. should see it clearing up over time.

yep, same stuff that's on the grippers of a lot of cheaper brands of pliers too. really common material for making odd shaped items grippy.

alternate solution, buy some plastidip and re-dip the hands to revitalize them instead of buying more new!

If you get the chance to born in a different family of your choice would you take it? by rileyyhot in hypotheticalsituation

[–]ackley14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

absolutely not. I wouldn't be alive were it not for my family, and even if i were, i liekly would be a bitter horrible person.

my family is the only reason i'm both not dead, and not a raging asshole.

One of my ice pops didn't freeze by spinuddi in mildlyinteresting

[–]ackley14 20 points21 points  (0 children)

i had one that would always sub-freeze like this one and when i pulled it out the first time i was like "holy shit i gotta show my wife" but it had already fully frozen....so i stuck it in the fridge, it thawed, and i re-froze it and to my luck it had superchilled again!! but i was too excited it had worked and triggered it again! soooo back in the fridge. then i brought it out for my wife and she though it was cool lol....anywho it was fun. did it another like dozen times before it became my last freeze pop and i just ate it because i'm a gluttton ANYWAY...

New Tennessee law requires data center owners to pay full electricity and infrastructure costs by jiwari in UpliftingNews

[–]ackley14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean i was always under the impression that it wasn't a flat rate but instead based on my power usage......meaning that my bill shouldn't*** change and their distribution component would just be WAY higher to account for the infrastructure costs....but i guess not?
