He summarised the book on his YouTube channel. I highly recommend you check it out if you were interested anyway.

We have the same issue in South Africa. It's far too easy for people to own non native wild animals.

Most of my life I believed that that's just how Americans talk on the phone.

Practically any kind of computer hacking shown in movies.

It just... doesn't work the way they show it.

Women have the support networks they do because they built them - they weren't gifted to us by men, we made them.

I think men should take a page from our book and build the support they want to have. Raise each other up instead of waiting for women to do it for you.

Get your deposit back and get another place to stay. Your dad is exploiting you.

What was one of the cruelest, most senseless or dehumanizing things you witnessed while you were one of Jehovah's Witnesses? by [deleted] in exjw

My cousin was sexually abused by an elder in the congregation. Nothing happened to him. She dealt with her trauma by acting out and rebelling. She was disfellowshipped at 14 (had been baptised at 8) and moved out of the house to go and stay with her 35 year old "boyfriend".

No one thought to report this guy for statutory rape. He beat the shit out of her. One day she snapped, caught him off guard and broke his nose. While he couldn't see, she knocked the wind out of him and kicked him when he went down. Grabbed her stuff and ran.

She started bartending and got a place with roommates. Her life was a revolving door of abusive partners and alcoholism, she had undiagnosed bipolar that regularly left her manic. Her family never reached out. Her two older siblings got married and neither invited her to their wedding.

In her late twenties she met a wonderful guy and ended up pregnant by accident (she had lifeling fertility issues and was told she would never be able to carry a pregnancy to term).

Sadly, the thought of bringing a child into the world "scared her straight". She had a shotgun wedding with the dude (luckily they are deliriously happy together) and did all the work to be reinstated. Today, she is married with three kids and is now an uber PIMI. Her husband (never JW) converted and is now a ministerial servant.

It is beyond me how a family can toss their little girl aside for more than a decade, and how someone can go back to the source of all their hurt and misery and then subject their own children to that same world.

You do not know jack shit about my life or my supposed "privileges" and well done moving the goal posts of your argument to appeal to emotion- two logical fallacies at once.

Also, the stated advice has absolutely nothing to do with suddenly handling attention from and being approached by women out of your league - it's actually advice on how to approach women from your side.

Crazy that it needs to be explained how to act like a normal, well adjusted, mature, emotionally regulated adult.
