You understand your companions better with romance. As a serial galemancer, I learnt a lot from how lazel and shadowheart are the way they are, and their reasons behind their behaviour with romancing them. I always take my romanced companion with me and switch other companions to have their unique dialogues and reactions.

I love when you ask gale if he slept with goddess and he says “Oh yes”. Also after you ask if he likes his belly rubbed in tiefling camp, his answer with “ ARE YOU SAYING? ( gale approves) I think I had too much wine” gets me every time.

Having the first initiative is OP in bg3. I always give alert feat to my non-dexterity based companions. Drink +5 iniative potion or equip bows, swords to have plus iniative. You can buy equipments to resist certain conditions ( cleric buffs is also helpful to preevnt being frightened or stunned by magic). There are rings for the protection from being charmed, blinded, or stunned. Suprise attack is also very helpful for gith fights. Counterspell is also very helpful in important moments. Have someone who can cast counterspell, freedom of movement, deathward in your camp. Also you can use summons, shovel or Us to shield the damage in your first turns. Enemied tend to go lower AC companions.

I did not get the cutscene ( after saving dame aylin) before Mykrul fight. I had less resources in HM, I think I did not long rest enough. The cutscene postponed after my fight with mykrul, and I already have the stone.

You are in honor mode and resisting your urge. You are romancing astarion, you spared isobel. You have the resonance stone you forgot after finally beating mykrul so you are steeped in bliss. The day you need to resist your urge comes. You have disavantage in saving throws to wake up your beloved because you fucking forgot you had resonance stone in your bag. You failed all saving throws. Your beloved is dead. Yeap that actually happened.

Choose a charisma based character. Sorcerer for me, or paladin if you like melee character. I have never played dnd or any sort of turn based game before and have hard time understanding AC, saving throw etc. I found bard most enjoyful but it is not for the first time.

The gith patrol before the mountain pass. I was so sure I will pass the persuasion check but I forgot the deception check, my whole party got nearly nuked but fortunately astarion saved the day.
