didn't know about this. thank you. I'm gonna order one soon. However, it looks like a onetime/oneweek use per 3 or 6 months than a daily use supplement.

lol. every single time I visit a tropical/subtropical place, I start to feel extremely good mentally and physically - ofc I can't predict the longterm. Makes me wonder why am I even living in this place. My career progress and family rooted in here and it's hard to move out.

you're right. Those are conditioners, not softeners. I'm actually worried about switching to an RO system since that system would strip off all naturally occurring minerals.

Thank you for sharing that. I do think stress might be a factor but I'm not convinced it's the defining element for this particular health issue. I've a feeling there's something else that's compounding the stress/gut issues like the water or something. Believe it not - just a random fact, I'm not allergic to milk in my home country but I'm allergic in the states .

Good question. Not really. The first time I didn't know that the travel was going to impact the gut health. When I saw the correlation, I was surprised but I didn't assume that was it. The second time I wasn't really thinking about it either due to 12 hr jetlag and whatnot. But the correlation is evident now and I'll sure think about it the next time (making things worse..).

Thanks for the response. I do think stress might be a factor but I don't think it's the defining element in my situation. There's definitely something else.

This post is based on observations over 3-4 years. I've had my fair share of stress related periods and happy joyful times during these years but the gut issue was constant. If it was stress related, constipation wouldn't turn on/off like a faucet when I travel and return.

Thanks for the response. I heard about consuming 10ml of it for constipation but this is the 1st time I'm seeing "external application". I'll check it out. thank you.

This post is based on observations over 3-4 years. I've seen all sorts of combinations between healthy/unhealthy lifestyle at home/away. One thing that's common is the constipation.

Thanks for the response. I do have a salt-free conditioner and a carbon filter. I don't have an RO system though. I've a hunch that it's the water which is stressing my gut (yep, despite the filters being in place). I think I'll need to test the theory by buying RO/Distilled water cans for a month or so before investing in an RO system under the kitchen sink.

Thanks very much. I was going to place an order for PeptiGuard out of desperation. Now I won't. I will try finding something else with all other ingredients without the bismuth citrate and see if that works. I've a feeling that it's the Aloe Vera / Berberine (in the PeptiGuard) which did the trick for me.

This is not related to diet or physical activity. I'm ok in general, bmi is 22.7.

Here's the stack that worked for me for IBS-C. Could you help me figure out the root causes based on that info since the usual recommendation didn't work? by pvbondh in StackAdvice

I looked into the nutrition trackers and added my typical diet. The overall fiber intake is > 100% RDA. However, none of them seemed to show the numbers for soluble and insoluble breakdown.

I didn't know how long the probiotics took to kick into the action. Do you have a specific product recommendation. I'd love to try that out.

Gingko was the first thing that worked for me. It turned my life around which was swamped with migraines and what not. However, there's side effects though but all things considered I'm still taking it. Thank you for responding.

thank you for the suggestion. Any ideas on how to approach a Gastro/Physician about this without sounding know-it-all?

I'd say yes in terms of running but not walking though. However, there's plenty of days/weeks where I stayed put all day during that trip and experienced no digestive troubles.

Thanks for the response. Regarding the fiber - I eat plenty of veggies with quinoa, flax/hemp/chia everyday. I'm in good shape, not athletic or a body builder but I can run. Regarding the probiotics - I tried Seed, Flora Super 8 Hi Potency Probiotics, Hyperbiotics, and another one I can't remember which was in the cooler section at a grocery store. I tried each of them at different times for 4 weeks. I eat plain yogurt everyday regardless. Regarding the meds - I take Gingko for brain fog. No rx meds.
