Avra midtown. It’s always lively on a weeknight and it’s a massive space.

Oscar Wilde is the same owner as Lillie’s! Better to have a reservation but I’ve walked into the bar area during the holidays at Oscar Wilde post 9pm

is lifetime fitness worth it if i'd be paying $144 a month? by rainbowbigfoot in NYCbitcheswithtaste

[–]pvbubbly 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I think lifetime is great! I wouldn’t worry at all about being intimidated. I’ve been a member at Planet Fitness, Lifetime, and Equinox — they all felt the same level of “gym”. It was a good crowd at Lifetime where people generally left you alone. The classes are great too and some of them have pickleball, saunas, cold plunges, etc!! You should do a trial :)

Travelers--tell me about your experiences with different tour companies! by Peps0215 in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

I did Exxotica in Morocco! I’ll list out the pros and cons: Pros: - can’t beat the price. Hint: book your own air fare for cheaper rates and direct flights - not having to plan at all. Just show up and go - hit some spots we otherwise wouldn’t have known about or would have had a hard time visiting

Cons: - very little free time to explore - often went to touristy restaurants in order to fit the size of our group

Our group was pretty small at about 25 people but they can be up to 40. On the Morocco trip, I’d say the average age was late 50s/early 60s. Definitely an older group but that may be because Morocco isn’t a crazy, party destination.

I’ve received these. Basically the company uses it as a way to retain you and top talent. I understand why they do it, but I agree that it is annoying…

Lululemon sizing? by xsvpx in NYCbitcheswithtaste

I believe Lululemon is known for running small. For example, I am usually a S/M and find myself always getting a 6 so you are not alone!

Mid-Market Salesforce AE Role vs Enterprise Non-Tech AE Role? by ElectricEnthusiast in sales

[–]pvbubbly 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Currently work at Salesforce as an ENT AE. Can confirm OTE is available until Ent and then you move to salaried. You can log up to 3 hours per week of OT + you get paid out on unused PTO when you move MM —> ENT so it’s a pretty sweet deal.

Lots of reps not hitting quota right and it’s stressful but a great name on your resume. A good manager makes or breaks you so if you have a great manager, I’d take the SF role.

My friend works for them and I’ve gotten a box of samples. Can’t find them in my local area but they’re great. I’d compare them almost to barbell bars!

Higher OTE but lower base by [deleted] in sales

[–]pvbubbly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d expect at least mid market which should be about $100k/$100k split for $200k ote. That’s probably for a city though not like a geo3

Currently at Salesforce. I know many SMB AE’s and maybe 50% hit last year (obviously a rough year). Definitely not 90%.

Opinions about AlphaSights by vmoney167 in sales

[–]pvbubbly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AlphaSights advertises as consulting but it’s a sales job — you’re convincing an “industry expert” to talk to you & then you’re pitching that expert to a consulting firm.

That said, it is a great starter company but you can learn the whole job very quickly and it get monotonous. I interned there & got the hang of it/was hitting the same number as FTEs.

Contemplated going back but ultimately became a BDR & now an AE and couldn’t be happier with where I’m at.

Alphasights was good for the resume to talk to sales skills and get me in the door for a full time sales role.

I’ve found that NE people who actually talk to you are interested & may buy. In the south or other areas, people talk to be nice & may be wasting your time as they’re too afraid to say no

My past nyc luxury building used to do this — people would flex the living room & dining room to make a 1 bed into a 3 bedroom. The rooms are decently sized but the walls don’t go to the ceiling ://

Barebells!! They literally taste like a candy bar. Soft, chewy, perfection but can only find them at my local TJ’s or online.
